    1. I’ll have it stuck in my head all day.

I don’t have a Halloween song, but that one reminded me of my permanent plans; Shadow of the Vampire and Young Frankenstein fest with my boys.

Also liquor.  Maybe some pointing and laughing.  Good time all around.

      Thanks for the video!

  1. Then we can return to sanity.

The old Cream song (1968) done by Jack Bruce and Rory Gallager. Rory left the planet in 1994 and went out like any proud Irishman, liver failure due to alcoholism. RIP Rory, you were among the best.

      1. is that they have genuinely great voices, interesting little acoustic harmonies. Just every once in awhile, I’ll get a craving to hear them and play them all day. Then back to the ancient album collection they return. 🙂

        1. Depends on who’s playing.  But yeah- Red Rocks, Hollywood Bowl, and a few small clubs – doesn’t get better.

Couldn’t find a web-legal version to post, but the week after this show, I caught the PJ/Neil Young show in Golden Gate Park.  After 5 or 6 songs Ed left for the hospital – Neil finished the show for an insanely rude crowd.  PJ offered full refunds for anyone who wanted – I sent them a check with a note telling them they shouldda charged double for Neil.

  2. And to Democratic politicians everywhere.

Last winter, when the Traveler’s commercial with the cute little dog was in its first rotation, my daughter asked me who recorded the song.  It obviously struck some kind of emotional chord with her at the time.  I looked up the information for her–the song is “Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne–but never got a chance to send her the YouTube link.

Now the commercial is back in rotation and every time I hear it I think of her.

If you play it, she’ll hear it.  But where she is now, there’s no trouble or worry.

        1. I hope it gave you some joy.

Rich Rod must go.  Michigan and gimmick offenses just don’t mix.  But where’s the defense and special teams?  That’s what wins games anyway.

  3. Got an email today from Brian of the wizwrock band Draco and the Malfoys. This is the 5 year anniversary of their first performed song, “My Dad is Rich (and Your Dad is Dead)”.

Short history: Wizard Rock was started by the DeGeorge brothers, who loved the Harry Potter series so much they wrote a bunch of songs about the books and staged a concert at their local library as Harry and the Potters (Harry Year 4 and Harry Year 7, according to their ages at the time). What was cool about it was that a bunch of other kids saw what they did and used the power of the internet to launch similar self-created ventures. It’s still pretty popular today and may have started a few actual musical careers! (I’m just an old softy that way; I love to see kids getting up and DOING stuff.)

Anyway, even though they were Evil, I always liked Draco and the Malfoys best for their clever lyrics and bad boy presentations.
