  1. testing is up 37%
    so we see more cases

    cases are up 157%
so there are more cases than can be accounted for by the increased testing
Biden couldn't identify an elephant and you can't count down from 100 by 7

  2. The fever afflicting the national and local  GOP may have finally broken

Neville expected to lose top GOP spot in House

Republicans contradict Trump amid virus crisis

Self-preservation is a powerful antidote to malevolently incompetent leadership.

  3. Trump’s law enforcement aides brush off pleas from Oregon officials to butt out

Cuccinelli warned DHS would advance its law enforcement components into other American cities “if we get the same kind of intelligence” about threats.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler urged the Trump administration Sunday to call off its intervention in the city, accusing the federal forces of “sharply escalating the situation” and employing tactics that are “abhorrent” and “completely unconstitutional.”

    1. I talked to my daughter yesterday. She lives & works down the road from Portland in wine country. Portland was too much for her to handle but she is very much an anarchist (and anachronistic).

I asked her WTF was going on in Portland and she validated the Pinochet-like actions of the DHS storm troopers. She has not witnessed first hand but she and some of her friends are closer to that action.

She also mentioned a no-fly zone over Portland and circling low-fly helicopters and planes (probably drones too) that I hadn't heard mentioned in any of the coverage I've seen or read.

      1. American carnage stops right here and stops right now.” — Donnie Carnage, inaugural address

PORTLAND, Ore. — He came to the protest with a question. He left with two broken bones in a confrontation with federal officers that went viral.

Christopher David had watched in horror as videos surfaced of federal officers in camouflage throwing protesters into unmarked vans in Portland. The 53-year-old Portland resident had heard the stories: protesters injured, gassed, sprayed with chemicals that tugged at their nostrils and burned their eyes.

David, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and former member of the Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps, said he wanted to know what the officers involved thought of the oath they had sworn to protect and defend the Constitution.

      2. The only way to stop this secret police force would be a massive show of unity.  All the factions: _________ matters, trots, anarchists, moderates, libs, never-Trumpers – into the streets in silent, masked, non-violent protest.

Just stand there with signs. “ “No to secret police”. “Protect our first amendment”. Sing the National Anthem. Wave the flag.  There can’t be enough rent-a-cops to patrol every major city in America.

I know that provocateurs would try to derail such protests- we’d need leaders like Tay Anderson to say, “Those aren’t our people. They aren’t with us.” One of the veterans of the civil rights movement, who was speaking on John Lewis last weekend,  spoke about how they had had to commit, every day, every minute, to nonviolence, with provocateurs from both sides pushing for confrontation.
