Gardner named to GOP "Transition Team"

While CD-4 residents will lose an incredibly effective advocate in Betsy Markey come January, her replacement certainly seems to be hitting the ground running, so to speak.

Rep.-elect Cory Gardner was named to the Repubs Transition Team by Oregon Rep. Greg Walden.

How this compares to last year when then Rep.-elect Jared Polis was named to the Dems Steering Committee, you can judge for yourself.  Regardless, a nice first step for Gardner.

Who will be the most effective Republican in Colorado's Congressional delegation?

    1. Can’t think what would have made you think he’d be any good, Gray. Not that your vote mattered much since the R always wins CD6 2 to 1 regardless.  But I think Gardner has at least some small potential for working with Perlmutter on Colorado issue that would make them both look good in their own backyards.  Caught them on radio today saying some nice things to and about each other and both experienced some actual compromising as state legislators.

Not that I have particularly high (or even any) hopes for any R having any interest in doing anything constructive on anything important this coming session, mind you. If any do, they are sure to be quashed by the Borg.  The only ones who may not allow themselves to be quashed are a few Tea Partiers who may stubbornly resist the Borg in favor of their own crazy town ideas without much effect.

      1. I just think that Coffman has exhibited some leadership traits in the past and ought to be able to see that if he has a future beyond the House it is only going to come from exercising those traits.
