  1. celebrating our tenth anniversary in Glenwood Springs. Hiked up to Hanging Lake, a beautiful hike and incredible views for any who haven’t been yet. And then that afternoon spent five hours soaking in the hot springs pool in Glenwood. They are incredibly relaxing!

      1. I don’t know if we made it all the way to 6 or not. It was close. Did you see a large Caucasion male hanging out with a small Asian woman in the hot pool? We would have been right at the end by the shower doors by then if we were there.

          1. and a very early AM drive to try to catch the wolves before they ran off in the day to hide. We saw these mysterious shadows in the morning mist, “Buffuloes in the Mist” we called them. Tried to capture them on film, but no luck.

        1. I kinda robbed the cradle, marrying a girl nearly 7 years my junior (NO, I wasn’t 20 when I got married…I was 30!). She couldn’t cook….better than me now. She was a brat (youngest of 5 in her family) and now is a very wise and mellow friend. Didn’t know squat. Well, that’s a little harsh:-). It took about two years of living together, with a motto “Pay attention to the Positive”, to get to a semblance of the Vulcan Mind Meld. Life’s been good ever since!

Congratulations on what appears to be a very wonderful marriage on your part!

  2. I remember watching his movies growing up and laughing a lot.

This slap scene was always one of my favorite scenes. Interesting though because I wonder if it was made today, how many news organizations would run stories asking about the moral compass of an American that allows a woman to be slapped and especially a gun on a plane. Would we be encouraging terrorism by showing the gun?

Maybe that doesn’t make much sense. Anyway, RIP Leslie. Your Naked Gun films and Airplane movies were great.

Now back to politics: How about that pay freeze for federal employees?

        1. Poorly paid workers, or laid off workers?

I just felt the question “who much difference does 5 billion make anyway” reach the tip of my fingers.  What a budget we live with!

At least some ganders got it before the geese.

In other steps aimed at reining in the deficit, Obama has previously frozen salaries for senior White House officials and proposed doing the same for all political appointees across the government.

        2. a pay freeze is a moot point as there is no threatening inflationary bubble apparent on any horizon I am aware of. I haven’t had a pay raise in over three years (and it is company-wide, not just me…).

      1. I’m not gonna lie Dio, I stared at your line for quite sometimes because I couldn’t tell what you were talking about! I was thinking, does this person not believe the hiring freeze?

Then my mind clicked. Good one sir/madame.

Needless to say I haven’t had my cup of coffee.
