It occured to me this morning that if someone told when I first entered the workforce that shortly after I retired, the United States would be on the brink of an attempted coup de etat by a brutal strongman dictator, I would have asked for the name of your dope dealer.
Optimism is getting more and more scarce. Meanness seems unfettered. The Orange Destruction is ready and eager to get “vicious”, so he is calling in his orcs and trolls… the bloodshed will be tremendous.

Reportedly, Michael Bloomberg is giving $100 million to help Biden carry Florida. Victory there means winning just one of the remaining swing states would oust Trump. The Bloomberg drive also frees Democratic funds to concentrate on other swing states.

If a few other mega-mega-donors pile on would Dump get the message and kick the plan B resignation/pardon into gear?
It might be more effective if he paid the Florida poll tax for felons who already served their time.

He can't. The state apparatus has told these ex-felons they cannot vote because they owe money. When the ex-felons ask: "How much?", the state replies: "We can't tell you and won't be able to tell you for a few years".
Florida can't count D votes.
The money needs to be spent now. Bloomberg is pretty late on this. Appreciated, but seriously, ballots start going out this week many places. And his $100M is a lot, but a piss in a bucket for him.
The main effect is going to be Dump's additional, escalating freakouts. Nobody in FL is going to have time to watch ads from the storm shelters.
The quote from Bloomberg's staff is "nine digits" — which COULD be $100 million (and several people have said that, seeing it as an epic trolling of *resident Trump saying he would be using $100 million of his own funds) or those 9 digits could be all 9s … who knows.
Ad messages are going to be there pushing "vote early" in Florida. The state allows processing of ballots starting 22 days before the final day of voting, Election officials must notify people of any problems with their ballots, and the voter can "cure" until 2 days after voting is done. Ballots can be counted on November 3, so all those in early will impact initial ballot counts.
If your supporters won’t show up, just rent new ones. OH Craigslist ad for Trump cheerleaders. Wonder in how many other states similar ads will run.
It's a sad state of affairs in this country when people will risk infection at a super spreader Trump rally, posing as a Magamoron, for 12 bucks an hour.
