“I was watching a little bit of the Constitution being read today on the floor of the House and I said, ‘This has gotta be like waterboarding to these Democrats.'”

…after all, he completely flubbed it at the CPAC conference in 2009:

Which for those of us who did pay attention in Civic class, is contained in the Declaration of Independence, and NOT the Constitution.
Sadly, it was more like trying to keep the economy on track or trying to conduct the Iraq war to these Republicans … they bungled even the simplest parts.
They can’t get anything right, can they?
I think if there’s one thing I’ve seen the tea partiers get right, it’s making the Republicans do this. I think they should pass a rule saying that they have to do this every single year no matter which party is in the majority. Only with no redactions or screw-ups next time.
For those who don’t click “play,” Lamborn quoth thus, from the start to Article VII:

Is Rush implying that waterboarding is some sort of torture? I thought that Cheney convinced us all that it was merely an aggressive interrogation technique. If Rush think waterboarding is somehow a bad thing, then he’d support an investigation, right?
Hardly! It’s what we used to call a fraternity prank! Why, Bush even admitted he ordered waterboarding. If it were as bad — and illegal — as Rush seems to think, that’d mean the Justice Department was obligated by law to prosecute, right?
so the Constitution is, like, waterboarding.
No deeper than that for the Doper Don.
Fairly quick and easy, inexpensive, and out-of-this-world delicious. Highly recommended.

(I’m not a fan of bok choy, so we had spinach greens as our side.)
people in the Press (at least the ones doing their job) are going to call you on it when you try and weasel out of it…
Or did the geniuses behind the Republican’t party get to DC at their swearing-in and realize “oh gosh! The fiscal year is already almost half over! How did this critical fact escape our minds!”
