(This sounds like the work of the dastardly “rogue staffer.” – promoted by Colorado Pols)
if, you know, you HAVE a Brazilian assclown legislator (from Reuters)
A clown who won a seat in Brazil’s Congress by a landslide has stayed true to his former profession by accidentally messing up his first vote.
Francisco Everardo Oliveira Silva, better known by his clown name Tiririca, had pledged to back the government’s austerity proposal for a new national minimum wage in a crucial vote on Wednesday night.
When the time came, however, Tiririca pressed the wrong button on the computerized system and accidentally voted for an opposition proposal for a much bigger increase in the wage than the government wants, according to Brazilian media who spoke to his office.
.
D’oh ! At least he knows he’s a clown…

did it make a rude noise and shoot confetti?
whatever happened to our two new esteemed Republican Congressmen that missed their swearing-in ceremony because they were out in the lobby working on fund raisers? Were their votes for House Speaker invalidated?
Tough day for South Americans here on Pols — first the Venezuelans, and now the Brazilians (. . . I can’t wait to see who has the first joke about that . . . ) — I’m sure glad I live in a country where we don’t allow clowns into politics.
Their first several votes didn’t make a difference in election of the Speaker or the passage of any bills.
But they did technically violate the law by voting without being sworn in. I’m sure John Boehner will get right on their punishment.
