Aw, what the heck…let’s just keep the theme of the afternoon right on rolling along.
According to the blog Inside Arizona Politics, Republican Rep. Paul Gosar has hired an, um, interesting staff:
Turns out that only 2 members of Rep. Gosar’s staff – Tiffany Dinneen and Larry Renken – are registered to vote in CD1. That’s right. Except for Dinneen and Renken, Gosar’s congressional staff members aren’t registered to vote in the district they are supposed to serve.
So, his staff by and large aren’t registered to vote in the district, and his top advisors are not just Sarah Palin picks, they are actually from Alaska.
The best part of the story is a quote from Roll Call from Gosar, a former dentist, as to why he chose his two top staffers despite the fact that they have no congressional experience or any connection to the state of Arizona:
“They are battle-tested with me and things we have to take on with regard to dentistry.”
The battle for control of dentistry has begun. The rubber glove gauntlet has been thrown. And his new job as a Congressman? Eh.
You just can’t make this stuff up, folks.
