Cory Gardner Gets Some "RomneyCare"

  • by: Colorado Pols

Interesting sidenote from Politico’s Kasie Hunt–will Cory Gardner requite the love?

Building good will on the Hill for his expected White House run, Mitt Romney is sending more cash to congressional Republicans.

Romney’s Free and Strong America PAC sent $83,500 to 40 members of Congress Tuesday, for a total of $208,000 sent to lawmakers’ campaigns this year…

The 38 House members who received contributions for Romney are largely those who sit in competitive districts and will have to defend their seats in 2012. Michigan Rep. Dan Benishek, Colorado Rep. Cory Gardner, New York Rep. Michael Grimm, South Dakota Rep. Kristi Noem, New Mexico Rep. Steve Pearce and Michigan Rep. Tim Walberg all got checks.

      1. Anyway, politician’s souls — assuming there might be a couple left who still hold title to one — go pretty cheaply these days.

        1. That doesn’t even pay for a field organizer’s monthly cost. Considering competitive districts cost a few million, two grand ain’t shit.

    1. Do you really think a guy worth a cool billion from his investment career thinks that two grand is going to buy him much?

Maybe in Obama’s world. Remember that promise? If I just spend 800 Billion of your money then unemployment won’t surpass 8%.
