Colorado House GOP--Show Some Fiscal Responsibility!

  • by: Colorado Pols

If you try to visit the Colorado House Republican Majority right now, you get this:

http://www.coloradohousegop.com

We assume a late payment is all it is–but if you Google the contact phone number, 480-505-8855, you see a number of items about website suspension for all kinds of reasons; from the site transmitting viruses to crazies making online threats, and other “terms of service violations.”

A late payment would be the most harmlessly amusing possibility we guess.

    1. …so the problem is with the hosting company, GoDaddy.com. Considering that the super basic plan costs $15 a month, this example of fiscal irresponsibility doesn’t look good.

“The Colorado House Republicans – we can’t pay our own bills, so why trust us to take care of the State’s?”

So even if we could scrape together the cash to buy it, the Colo GOP has the domain name until Oct 2011. However…if they’re seriously in arrears, maybe we could make them an offer….

Quick, get George Sorros on the phone!

  1. I once closed down an old email address and forgot to give the other one to my hosting provider for a site I really wasn’t using for anything, and ended up something like six months behind before I remembered and called them to pay–my site was still up. Most web hosts don’t shut you down for one late payment. More like “stopped paying for good.”

    1. Sites go down from time to time, sometimes it’s moving servers, sometimes it’s a technical problem. It’s not always because bills don’t get paid.

  2. You’ve stepped out, but you’ve forgotten to take your cowboy hat and your Aloha Shirt.

Don’t let the e-door hit you where you legislate from on the way out.

  3. The Colorado GOP is ‘doing all they can’ to bail out the buffoons in the Otero County GOP.

“We’re helping them in every way we can,” said Ryan Call, the state party’s legal counsel and a candidate for state Republican chairman.

So how are they going to do that? Is that why all those people send money to the GOP? So the state weenies can bail out the likes of Judy Reyher and Ed Hunnicutt? Looks to me like the GOP has a lot in common with Benny Hinn and Pat Robertson and the rest of the televangelists. OTOH, isn’t it a requirement that televangelists be members of the GOP? God’s on the GOP’s side, after all.
