   2. Trump himself cannot spread the odor as far and wide.  Many outlets are making snarky remarks about the statement on letterhead "from the Office of Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States" that is SLOWLY penetrating social media by backers taking time to copy and paste the image into their own accounts. It isn't going well.

            March 9: “So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!”

            March 10: “As you know, it’s about 600 cases, it’s about 26 deaths, within our country. And had we not acted quickly, that number would have been substantially more.”

4. I think it’s interesting to reflect that my hero, Barack Obama, didn’t change his position on gay marriage (marriage should be between a man and a woman) until just ten years ago.  It was Joe Biden who inadvertently (?) forced Obama’s hand on the issue.
   US culture is changing rapidly, leaving behind those who don’t or won’t change their positions (read: Trump voters).  Dems and liberals need to figure out how to bring those folks along without giving up the fight.
