        1. As I said before, Janet is a good choice, been commissioner, what, two, three years, so no voting record to attack.  good for generating interet in the Western slope but does adding her name generate enough momentum for the ticket.  I don’t think so.  A safe choice for BB.

  1. Rasmussen released a new poll in the governor’s race and it shows good things for Bill Ritter!  The poll shows Ritter up 9% points on Beauprez (48-39).  You can get a glimpse of the polling data here.  This is the first time that Ritter’s lead has been outside the margin of error! Thanks to SquareState for the info.

  2. Congrats, dude!  But I still want to know:  is Janet Rowland any relation to John Rowland, the former governor of Connecticut?  (He was a Republican)

  3. I was shocked to read in haleys dp write up that beauprez has negatives above 20.  that, my friends, is unelectable no matter how you look at it.

  4. A three-judge panel in federal court just reaffirmed the prior dismissal of attempts to revive the midnight gerrymandering plan which John Andrews and his ilk railroaded through the General Assembly during its last three days in ’03.

  5. FYI – I just received a push poll call re: Angie v. Marilyn. Based upon the issues I was questioned on, I can only assume it was paid for by Trailhead or Independent Institute.  First off, the woman doing the questioning couldn’t even pronounce Angie’s last name.  They distort her record (she voted to keep the death tax, is against detaining illegal immigrants, is against english immersion, doesn’t think people who murder children should be put to death) — Really outrageous stuff.  They also say she doesn’t pay her bills, filed for bankruptcy and distort the truth (“would that make you less likely to vote for her”).  I refused to answer any question where they couldn’t verify the record — They also ask about Marilyn, but softball stuff — I said I wouldn’t vote for her because she’s a bigot and completely out of touch with her constituents.  It really was a horrible poll.  BEWARE!!!!

    1. “she voted to keep the death tax” – Angie’s had the opportunity to do this?  I thought you had to be a Congressperson to do that.  Not that I’d consider it a Bad Thing to vote to keep a tax that could potentially affect fewer than 9,000 people, all of whom should be able to pay.  I thought Bush promoting Estate Tax elimination to the NAACP was particularly hilarious.  (There are a total of 33 African-Americans who fall under the current Estate Tax laws…)
