Annoying but often effective. Internal polling must be telling somebody it’s worth a shot.
I have a real hate on for those damn things – I don’t care which side of the fence their on!
A robo-call from someone I support is enough to get me to NOT vote for them.
Robo-calls are evil.
The trouble with most is they go on too long without getting to the point. When they drone on people hang up. My advice would be to get the point out in the very first words, before even saying “Hi, I’m so and so” or ” this a message from whatever” (many hang up at that point) so people hear that part before they have a chance to hang up. After that, a few more words should be absolutely it. And make sure they don’t get sent out accidentally at midnight.
When I phone bank (the living breathing human method) I always ignore the long-winded script in favor of starting out with an attention grabbing point first thing. If people are interested you can give them the rest answering their questions conversationally. If not, you find out quickly and don’t waste your time.
It’s amusing that a frequent robo-call we’ve been getting is an invitation to participate in Tipton’s telephone town hall.
I hang up on those, too.

I don’t even get the robocall invitations, probably because we’re a D-U household. You’re probably getting them because you have an R in your household.
Tipton has thus far shown no inclination to represent ALL of us.
People in CD-3 just heard a few days ago that these allegations are lies and radio stations took them off the air. What good do you possibly think it will do to pester them at home about it?
