McNulty and Stephens... The Great Sell Outs!

  • by: The Angry Trucker

I have been gone for an extended period of time traveling the great lower 48, but when I returned home, and after a grueling battle with my mail, I found a couple editions of the Statesman.  I always enjoy catching up on the weeks “inside baseball” reporting, but what I didn’t expect was a FULL-PAGE advertisement by America’s Natural Gas Alliance acknowledging Governor Hickenlooper, Sal Pace, Brandon Shaffer, John Morse, as well as Greg Brophy, Amy Stephens, and Frank McNulty for their role in the “Clean Air Clean Jobs act”.

While I liked the premise of the ad I started to ask myself a simple question, What the hell is going on with the Republicans in our Legislature?  Did McNulty, and Stephens just royally piss off the uber-conservative base by playing buddy-buddy with a couple Democrats that could very well unseat their good friends Cory Gardner, and Scott Tipton?  Stephens is already infamous for her sponsorship of SB 200 (also sponsored by Betty Boyd) validating the legality of ObamaCare in Colorado while at the same time supporting the Attorney General’s case deeming that law unconstitutional.  If I resided in one of their districts I would be looking for a replacement asap!  I posted the advertisement image below….

Call Speaker McNulty at 303-866-2346 and Representative Stephens at 303-866-2348.  Tell them this sort of compromise on principle is unacceptable, and if they won’t be the leaders we voted in to office, we will find someone else who will be!

  1. Seriously, I can’t tell. This started out looking like snarky Dem grandstanding and then it kind of took a wrong turn into angry regressive-ville and it finished on a decidedly Tea Party note and now my head is spinning.

    1. Rs who cooperate with Ds deserve replacing and political punishment.

      I mean, they’re D’s

See, by voting with D’s on sensible legislation that’s good for Colorado (or if they voted with Ds to defeat some bad legislation that would be bad for Colorado) they weaken Tipton and Gardner.

I smell paid staff – someone who worked on Ament’s campaign. Perhaps some other local stuff.  And wanted to work for McNulty or Stephens.  But I’m sure I’m wayyy off.

Maybe ArapGOP has an idea. (Never has before, but hey, it could happen)

  2. I had some thought that Brophy was term-limited out of the senate, so he isnt going to care what anyone says… But if you’d like you can reach him at 303-866-6360.

My apologies for leaving him out!

  3. You have stock in some coal companies? They are the only losers here.

Or are you really just pissed because they cooperated with Dimmicrats?

    Which?
