Who’s this Robert Johnson that’s already filed for AG?
Robert Leland Johnson is currently running for AG. He is rather elderly and has said he would only run “as long as it was fun” and would drop out if another Dem gets in race.
I know of another prominent Denver attorney who has been approached by some Dem party officials, but since I have not heard how that discussion went I will not disclose who yet. I only mention it to show the party is looking hard for a good candidate.
What great news for the Dems! It’s exciting to have a fresh face enter a statewide race, especially a woman with an extensive background in law and private business. Colorado needs more women to get involved and win important seats!
This race will be one to watch I’m sure!
She will announce on Thursday
I have never met Fern but hope to meet her tomorrow and size her up. It IS great to see the Dems fielding a candidate for a VERY important post.
Do you have any details about the announcement?
I just know that she is announcing tomorrow at the Pioneers Museum in downtown Colorado Springs. Free coffee etc., the usual deal.
She will also announce on the CU-Boulder campus today (3/2) at 4pm
