Scott Walker to Meet with Prosecutors TODAY
I’m finding the WI situation very interesting. Interesting for the genuine grassroots backlash against the rightie cabal’s dirty tricks. I truly hope Snotty Walker goes down in flames. What makes it more interesting day by day is the possible implication for the GOP of Rinse Priebus’s involvement. I was not aware of his Haley Barbour ties, his rise to fame, and his possible involvement with Walker’s “John Doe” problem until recently.
So, since it’s a slow CO news day this will make for some interesting reading (especially comments from GrumpyOldGeek@DailyKos)
what a can of worms! And all unfolding in a presidential election year! This is going to be a lot for talking point factory to contend with.
ABC News/Washington Post poll: Obama bests Romney; with more exposure, GOP candidate less liked. So the tell from the data suggests that Repugs will just vote anyone but Obama, but not enough to keep him from winning. One highlighted question:
Q: If Presidential elections were held today and the candidates were Barack Obama, the Democrat and …, the Republican, whom would you vote for?
Obama: 51%
Romney: 45%
Other: 3%
or
Obama: 54%
Gingrich: 43%
Other: 3%
So it would seem the GOP nominee doesn’t matter – which isn’t any new news. Now since the GOP primaries & caucuses have been experiencing surprisingly poor turnout it would suggests the same will hold true in the general. And there’s a considerable decreased fervency on the TeaBaggers front (which drove state & local elections in the midterms) so I’m thinking that there is the making for a bit of a ass-whuppin’ in 2012. Wonder what my Psychic Friends think …
in this bit from the Daily Beast: Tea Party ‘Is Dead’: How the Movement Fizzled in 2012’s GOP Primaries
Which makes all the pandering by the GOPs flavor-of-the-week debaters that much more pathetic. But ya know all that thinly veiled virulent racism & bigotry cloaked behind TeaBaggers’ rants still exists so how will it be manifest in a 2nd Obama term?
This morning on KOA on the way in, I heard the first ad of the campaign in Colorado. It’s a Mitt Romney anti-choice ad, using all the key words for the anti-choice crowd. Frankly, it was shocking. It could be an ad for Santorum.
Really stupid. What advisor told Romney, who dominated the caucuses here four years ago to do this. This is one of the most pro-choice states in the country. And as we know from two years ago, it matters to Coloradoans. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. He may have just blown his brains out here in Colorado.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy who never takes a position he won’t change on a minute’s notice. Don’t worry, in the fall he’ll be pro-choice again.
… might come back to haunt him in Nov.
And, to be sure, good grammar are not one of those steps 😉
What is it with R presidential candidates and subject-verb agreement?
are a Communist plot!
Proper grammar is elitist but a tax cut for the 1 % is not. Its all in the playbook.
sounds as if there’s already clear disagreement about what info and materials the committee needs to even proceed.
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

Is Frank McNulty still the Speaker?
Is there still talk that he may be ousted?
Is all peaceful now in the House Republican Caucus?
Today, they are reading aloud from the book written by the “gal” who worked at the Kennedy White House and who has written an expose of the sexual exploits with which she was involved.
Now, c&s, talk about sex a lot on their afternoon “legal
show. Usually, their attitude is that they are “shocked, shocked,” at what others have done or reported, but it gives them an opportunity to describe in detail the event or the act or the picture.
