Boebert And The Coup Crew: What's Wrong With This Picture?

  • by: Colorado Pols

Here’s a photo reportedly taken last night at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, where Arizona Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem, another major proponent of conspiracy theories that Trump should have won the 2020 presidential election, of freshman GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado in the company of three of America’s biggest “Big Lie” pushers:

That’s “MyPillow Guy” Mike Lindell, who as readers know has been spending a lot of time in Colorado recently supporting criminally indicted Republican Secretary of State candidate Tina Peters. Peters is facing a separate ethics complaint over the financial and other support from Lindell to Peters since the controversy over her alleged breach of election system security, including lodging and private jet flights during the month Peters spent in hiding in August and September of 2021.

And then there’s Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, Trump’s coup-torneys who along with then-CU Benson Center visiting scholar John Eastman helped formulate the plan to disrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory on January 6th, 2021. It looks like Giuliani has given up on the goopy hair dye that famously flowed down his face at a press conference in late 2020–and that’s good.

But this photo raises a whole slew of new questions for those of us who have been following the criminal case against Clerk Tina Peters. In addition to the support Mike Lindell gave Peters while she was on the lam, Lindell claims to have donated over $800,000 to Peters’ legal defense fund. Boebert, on the other hand, has more or less thrown Peters and her former campaign manager Sherronna Bishop under the bus, even thanking the prosecutor for his fair investigation–developments that left Bishop “heartbroken” and some supporters wondering if “Soros has got to her.”

It seems like Boebert and Lindell should have a lot to talk about.

All of these individuals are also under varying degrees of scrutiny by the Select Committee looking into the violence at the Capitol on January 6th. Boebert’s own participation in what’s been described as “early stage” meetings to plan the strategy to flip the election on January 6th, and the extent to which she was considered a potential security risk even by fellow Republicans, has just recently come into focus. Boebert’s trademark audacity, hugging the scandals she should be running from and begging her opponents to call her out in an endless quest for undifferentiated attention, is on full blast.

Now we’ll see if any of the questions raised get answered.

  1. Look at all those nice white peepo who just want to MAGA the *uck out of democracy.

Did Jenna insist Rudy not dye his hair that evening as to not stain the designer dress she’s sporting?  Where’s BangBang’s husband? Do they dare leave Jason and his six-inch thumb unsupervised?

  2. 9iu11iani is looking more like Simon bar Sinister every goddamn day. Nice work by Boebert here, smiling for the camera as a couple of disgusting old fucks mash their blubber up against her. Small price to pay for those big ol' wingnut welfare checks, I guess.

  3. I wonder if Lauren is just a tiny bit uncomfortable in the middle of this assemblage – is she trying to squirm a bit out of Rudy's grip? is she about to knee him (virtually impossible in that skin-tight dress that goes half way down her calves)? is she overwhelmed that Jenna's dress is even tighter than her own? Or perhaps she's just a bit worried about her Primary against Coram, not sure whether this photo will help her or hurt her at the ballot box.

  4. Wonder what the money flows of such a meeting at Mar a Lago are.  Finchem & his campaign obviously hope to make more from the event than they have to pay for event — we know Trump isn't likely to be comping anything on the room rates or ballroom rental or catering fees.

Lindell? Obviously, a source of money to those who agree with his brand of conspiracy thinking.

Rudy?  Is he still hoping to get some legal or consulting business?

Jenna?  There as a NewsMax personality, trying to find viewers or guests?

Boebert?  Looking for donors, figuring if they are willing to give to Finchem they can pony up for her campaign??  Trying to make amends with Lindell for not being nice to Tina?  Finding another excuse not to go back to Western Colorado?

  5. Did anyone notice what Rudy was wearing on his feet? Even the pillow idiot knew enough to wear shoes to the event.

I'm guessing if you got close enough to look, you'd see mismatched socks on Giuliani's feet.

    1. I assumed the footwear fell into the "boat shoe" category, an eccentricity allowed for elderly people who like to think of themselves as yachtmen.

  6. GET THE WORD OUT CD3 folks.  You want her gone, get Coram elected in primary. Don actually mailed me a thank you card for contributing as a Dem!

    1. Like I said…

The GOP asking Democrats to help rid themselves of Reppy le Pew Pew is absurd.

Don Coram is a step backwards. I realize Boebert is a train ride into Crazytown, but I want to see Don Coram sign onto the Green New Deal ( with blood from his fingertip) before I would even consider voting for him.

If CD3 Republicans can’t or won’t..then as far as I’m concerned, they are stuck with her. I will help replace her with a Democrat, but not an OilyBoy.

      1. Right no NO dem has a chance here.  Coram is a step back from Boobert?

I'm a Dem who realizes reality THIS election.

Sol has no chance if she gets 20% of the general election vote.

I am also a disabled veteran who is sick of seeing Boobert wrap herself in the flag and do NOTHING for disabled vets.

        1. If Bimbobert, Ron Hanks, Tina Peters, Greg Lopez, and their ilk really do pose an existential threat to democracy, as many in here have chanted, then do we not have an obligation to do everything possible – even going so far as to vote in a Republican primary – to stop that existential threat?
