Colorado’s CD-2, a formerly untouchable Democratic stronghold made somewhat more competitive after redistricting last year, is host to an active Republican primary between businessman Eric Weissmann of Boulder and state Sen. Kevin Lundberg of Berthoud. The winner of this primary will face two-term incumbent Democratic Rep. Jared Polis in November.
Remember, we are not interested in your personal preference in this race; we want to know who you realistically believe is most likely to win the election next Tuesday.

I think Democrats are more afraid of Weissmann. But Kevin shouldn’t be underestimated.
Corrupt Jared Polis will face a strong challenge from either.
will Weissman lose to Polis? 15? 20?
It’s not the same CD-2. This is a new ballgame.
of saying “15”?
Or have you slowly surrendered your ability to think for yourself, and become this way over time?
when is your boy Mitt going to finally come out and tell us his immigration policy? Or explain how he can pay for his projected military budget while cutting taxes, and pay for the war against Iran (which won’t be part of the DOD budget)?
Crazy works for me, and Kevin really beats the bar, even, on those requirements. Poor Jared. I’d probably just quit now if I were him.
1. Jared is not corrupt. He has more integrity in his little finger than you have in your entire body.
2. Jared will easily beat either candidate. Eric would score a couple of points closer but losing by 12 vs losing by 15 – it’s still a giant margin.
And those of us who fancy ourselves on a first-name basis with Him will be the first to say so!
This isn’t a court of law, David. And even if it were, doncha know Congress had exempted itself from the laws that apply to everyone else for what Polis did. And then, after a 60 Minutes expose, buckled under public pressure to forbid members of Congress from ever again doing what Polis did. The only question is whether Democrats’ attacks on Coors’ wealth will ring hollow as Republicans are landing their own on Polis, and it’s a good question.
What was this terrible thing that Polis did ? Never heard of it. Seriously.
found it
to play the stock market during the healthcare debate.
or is just accused of it, but RedGreen and others probably know the background.
Look at where Republican primary voters live. The bulk are in Larimer County – they know Kevin and like him. Add to that every theocratic GOP primary voter in the other counties…. Lundberg should walk away with the nomination.
There is also a large contingent of Republicans in Jeffco, and they tend to be more moderate, and I understand that Weissman used to live in Jeffco. Also what about Boulder?there are Republicans there too. I still think Lundberg wins because I haven’t seen much from either candidate at my house (I have a daughter who is still a registered Republican) and what I have seen has been Lundberg. Also, I don’t see turnout being anything above 5-10% and that always favors the more right wing candidate.
It seems to me that people who want to get out and vote in a primary would be at least slightly better informed than the general electorate. Unless viewed through half-shut eyes peering through an aquarium of propaganda, the tea-party movement is seeming more and more churlish. I think Weissmann’s got this.
If you only get your news from Rush and Faux News, and you consider that better informed.
