It’s a big workout favorite, but I haven’t heard this version at all.
This particular requiem has a really interesting story – it was viewed as almost being heretical when he presented it, and it’s the first mainstream requiem that asks for peace for the mourners, not just the dead. Anyway, enjoy. Here’s the first movement.
