Day 9 of waiting for Furry Granahl to post her detailed plan on how she is going to eliminate the income tax and still pay for critical public services.
538 has odds at 2-in-3 that Kirkmeyer wins CD8: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-the-gop-might-pick-up-colorados-newest-district/
Well yeah. With ColoradoPols ignoring the race that has given Kirkmeyer a gigantic advantage 🙂
I truly doubt ColoradoPols' malfeasance covering the CD-08 race gives Kirkmeyer any advantage regarding anything. Very few minds to change at this point and very few contributors/readers of the site actually live within the CD-08 boundaries. Like all the close races, this one is going to turn on turn out. Gentlemen and women, start your ballot chasing engines.

A $100 million campaign aims to fix Jesus’ brand from followers’ damage
Hmm, $100 million. Kansas. Reeks of Koch.
We need to get back to the Laissez Faire Jesus who was OK neglecting the poor, just without all the crazy.
Joel baby wants in on this action! #FactFreeJesus
Be interesting to know what Osteen considers to be the general definition of "fact."
I've seen a few things that educated and experienced people from that field didn't expect — generally, the explanation goes something like "I don't know how that happened." But I haven't heard anyone say "that flatly contradicts a fact."
Presiden Biden promised to unite the world and repair the damage caused by Trump. Now Biden is threatening Saudi Arabia with consequences for cutting oil production. Biden administration incompetence is a threat to our economy and national security.
Morning, Pfruit.
What? I guess the narrative that Biden is weak because the Saudis walk all over him has been scrapped. Maybe this one will stick!
Saudi Arabia has actively sought to disrupt this country and/or the world economy how many times since its oil reserves dragged it up from irrelevance? In addition to the 1979 OPEC crisis, the support of 9/11 bombers, and now this, there have been countless other mini-crises spurred by the Saudi government.
It's way past time we made them irrelevant on the world stage. Imagine if we had pushed forward with the R&D that President Carter envisioned to protect our nation from such hostage taking.
“Imagine if we had pushed forward with the R&D that President Carter envisioned to protect our nation from such hostage taking”
So true! I’m old enough to remember when Carter gave his famous energy policy speech in 1977, and everyone laughed at him.
In 1980, the Reagans complained that energy conservation meant that they would be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Now that both of them are cold in the ground, the rest of us get to deal with climate change.
Or in 2000 when Dick Cheney said that conservation may be a sign of personal virtue, but it is not part of an energy policy.
Like anyone ever accused Cheney of being virtuous.
…and then there was Exxon: (circa my birthday, 1977, the day Carter created the Department of
EnergyBombs)Exxon Knew about Climate Change almost 40 years ago
We dodged a bullet with this one…who's going to tell her?
Sarah Palin for energy secretary!
Even Trump wasn't stupid or loopy enough to go there.
Instead, we got Rick "Good Hair" Perry and he got to learn that the Energy Department does lots of things — and little at all to do with what one-time Governor Perry thought was "energy."
Is that you, Pear?
Remember when I posted that Elon Musk's tweet favoring Russia over Ukraine may be because they'll then fund his purchase. Now others are wondering the same.
If they do though, there's no way to hide where 40B is coming from so it'll be obvious. Maybe legal, but at least obvious.
Musk also wants Taiwan to be forcibly joined with China in a "SAR" similar to Hong Kong and Macau. From TPM.
…
Putin apparently also threatened Musk's communication satellites.
I wonder how much of the funding comes from Tesla sales…tangled web supporting "traitors" but I guess the torque would offset that considerably….
Touché – who knew you had a sense of humor! BTW, Ford will be manufacturing 180 Shelbys over the next three years. Tesla (not a Musk fan, but he did create the marketplace) has built over 3 million with a run rate of 2 million annually starting soon.
Out on the plains one might call that "leaving them in the dust".
Dude I have so much humor it is laughable! With that output Putin should be askin' HIM for some of your money!
Fat Donnie's brain trust has some thoughts this morning…
That's no sillier than believing a 10-year-old should be made to give birth.
The Sandy Hook jury verdict is in for the Alex Jones – InfoWars trial in Connecticut. One plaintiff alone is getting $120 million.
Update: verdicts top $1 billion. Can we throw in eternal damnation?
Update 2: let the grifting commence!
Doesn't Connecticut limit liability significantly? Expect these penalties to be unfortunately reduced.
Looks like there are caps.
But it makes a heck of a statement! Since SCOTUS said "Money is Speech", the jury demonstrates it works both ways — "Speech is Money"
This tweet isn’t aging well. Ladies and gentleman, Fat Donnie’s pick for the Ohio Senate seat:
#NationalFarmersDay (the folks who grow the stuff for plant-based diets)
Thank you, Michael and Duke.
