This week on the Get More Smarter Podcast, your hosts Jason Bane and Ian Silverii are joined by State Sen. Kevin Priola of Henderson, who made lots of news this fall by switching parties from Republican to Democrat. Senator Priola talks about how he ended up leaving the Republican Party, how he plans to vote in 2022, and what it feels like to be rooting for a different team this election cycle.
Later, we update listeners on all the latest news from the top races in Colorado, including GOP gubernatorial candidate Hiedi Heidi Ganahl’s closing “argument.” We also discuss the relentless disgusting editorializing from The Colorado Springs Gazette; and we introduce a new segment for the show that we’re just calling “That’s Bullshit!”

See you soon Senator!
You have only yourselves to blame for this, nutlid. He was your rising star, your bench, and your most formidable candidate for higher office when he was in your party. You weren't going to do better than him in the districts and years that he won.
He could have run for CD8, and not only could he have won this year, he could have held it down for a long time. He could have run statewide and been competitive for the GOP. But, you did everything you could to drive him off. And you drove him straight into the arms of the Democratic Party. Whether you succeed or not with, yet another recall attempt, this is yet another tantrum from a party of fascist adolescents, who cannot accept responsibility for where they are in this state.
The fact that you're even entertaining the utter stupidity from your joke of a gubernatorial candidate on the eve of her getting blown out of the water is also proof that you will gladly continue running into brick walls, and lose more and more ground, until you become an even bigger joke than you already are.
Stay the course, senator. We are already thanking you.
I think he got smart enough when he changed parties.
