As Tweeted moments ago by Sen. Greg Brophy (R-Wray):
Colorado’s classiest Tweeting senator strikes again. We’re not sure we’ve ever heard an instance of a sitting Colorado senator cracking a joke about another state senator being rushed to the hospital. Perhaps a new low for bipartisan…for lack of a better word, decency?
For our part, we wish Sen. Evie Hudak a speedy recovery.

like the poster child for mandatory regular mental health screenings. Has Libertad finally unmasked himself?
but this is Greg Brophy we’re talking about. Who knew the late Don Knotts had a love child in Colorado.
Just asking.
referring to his appearance . . . honestly. He could look exactly like Libertad for all I know, and I would still think that he could be the poster child for mandatory regular mental health screenings . . . based upon his actions and his words.
Of course, maybe everyone in his district looks similar. Inbreeding?
…you don’t have to be attractive, just have an R next to your name.
What a goddamn unspeakable piece of shit.
Theres an easy solution, pop the boil and let the juices flow … it’s a natural healing process.
I sure hope this reporting of a vertigo attack is correct. She’s a bit out of shape and no one would like to see her facing serious health issues or using vertigo as an excuse when the going got too rough to defend the failed democratic record of massive job losses, heavy handed regulation, and a public education environment that has serious performance imbalances.
While you’re at it, ask your mom how the redleg legislation ending the mortgage interest deduction that, if the pinkos are able to implement it, will impact her.
Specifically, you need to know if you’ll have to find other lodging if she can’t afford to house you.
Oh, the irony….you’re out on the street because of the feckless draft dodger and his minions.
Can’t say ya wouldn’t have it comin’!
Wow, the classiness continues.
You guys really are unchristian, you know.
But at least I make a daily effort to exercise in the early am.
Evie is a few years older, not much, but man she is not living a healthy lifestyle if you read a book by its cover.
If not finding humor in someone being ill makes one a “liberal/leftist”, I’ll gladly wear that title.
Strange though, Sen. Brophy is the one who is constantly wearing his Christianity on his sleeve….don’t you find this type of humor rather “un-Christian”? Who would Jesus kick when they are down?
The people on this blog who post as proud conservatives often displat characteristics of classical Nrcissistic Personality Disordder. Some of the symptoms of this disorder include:
A person with narcissistic personality disorder may:
Take advantage of other people to achieve his or her own goals
Have excessive feelings of self-importance
Exaggerate achievements and talents
Need constant attention and admiration
Disregard the feelings of others, and have little ability to feel empathy
Have obsessive self-interest
Pursue mainly selfish goals
The observations that I have made here, in regards to these same people, is their complete inability to own up to being wrong, showing their research, oberving scientific fact, deductive reasoning, and defending character traits that most enkightened people would see as deplorable, including showing very little to no remorse or evidence of a conscience.
Thanks for your comment, Arvadonian.
I have no excuses anyone would buy:-)
Which also happens to be the diagnosis of several psychologists.
Birds of a feather, or something…..
Gloating about the drought because it helped his cantaloupe crop? Despite the fact that many of his constituents are suffering enormously?
Or was that some other elected Republican official with less class than an Advanced Quantum Physics professor at a two-year college?
OK – even if they were close friends and needled each other on a routine basis, this is extraordinarily reprehensible. What an unbelievable dolt this guy is. I’m beginning to feel more positive about term limits.
From Hoover’s article, it sounds as if Sias was a gentleman and made a personal follow up with Hudak to see how she was doing.
They ought to do a whole statewide campaign saying vote for Dems around this statement and the rudeness and outrageousness of Colorado Republicans and why they should not be in power. Hell, the national Democratic Party should do the same thing.
What he said would be just as bad as if someone had said to him, go crawl back under the rock you came out from and die.
Get well Senator Hudak.
I agree this was an offensive comment, but Brophy doesn’t need a filter any more. He never had one, he has always spoken his mind. He doesn’t care what Democrat bloggers think.
It doesn’t reflect badly on anyone but Brophy.
Thanks for agreeing. I think this really is a nonpartisan issue – I’d be pretty upset if a Dem had said the same thing about a Rep.
Having experienced the very same thing Senator Hudak did, I can tell you it’s very disabling and very frightening. These arrested-development Republicans should go find a rock and crawl back under it.
