[DEVELOPING] Shots Fired at Obama Campaign Office

  • by: ProgressiveCowgirl

9 News reports that shots were fired today at a Denver field office of Organizing for America. The West 9th Avenue office was fired on at about 3:00 PM. Thankfully, nobody was inside–presumably, staff and volunteers were out canvassing for Obama. [EDIT: 9News is now reporting that people WERE inside the office, but that there are no injuries.]

Police say that they have a “vehicle of interest.”

The attack comes a mere day after the First Lady’s Colorado visit.

      1. I haven’t seen anyone make light of this attempted murder. You should dial back your disappointment and understand that over the last two years Democrat campaign offices were attacked and in one case the convicted criminal was a Democrat activist running a false flag operation.

If you want to make a difference then maybe you should get out and do some walking for your party….there is a massive amount of anger out there with our national leadership….you need to explain why the Democratic approach to governance is best served with the methodology of central planning.

          1. With all these attacks on Democrat activist offices you’d think the Democrats would have long ago deployed security cameras and other measures to protect their people.

Why don’t Democrats take basic preventative measures that many other institutions and businesses enact to protect their workers and guests?

        1. targeting the Denver SEUI office in 2010 a little “prank”, too. http://www.thedenverchannel.co

As for the singular “false flag” story, that was done by a very troubled young anarchist, not a Democrat.

Libertad — the day the GOP takes responsibility for stirring up hate and inciting violence among its many gun nuts, is the day we’ll start taking you seriously.

          1. Remeber OWS-Clevland …. this Obama backed organizations members tried to blow up a freaking bridge.

Then of course we have the OWS crowd that raped and murdered other OWS participants.

Then we have the ACORN (an Obama community partner) organized effort to promote underaged illegal alien human sex trafficking.

People should find it shocking that so many Democrat institutions are engaged or otherwise fail to protect themselves from these illegal activities.

        2. more than my share of angry gun nuts. Every single fucking one of them is either a republican or a libertarian.

I have never met a Democrat with a similar mindset.

You are simply, wholly, undeniably, full of shit.

              1. This is a hot-button for me since I started volunteering with victims of crime, but please don’t say that, to anyone. I’d like Libby to delete his CoPols account, but whoever he is, he’s probably someone’s son and someone’s father, and you don’t know what might be going on in his offline life. A casual comment like this can push someone over the edge.

Not to mention that you don’t know who else is reading the blog who may have lost someone to suicide and may not appreciate seeing such a casual, flippant endorsement of it.

                1. His childish “why don’t you do THIS ridiculous thing/HEY, WHAT DID I SAY” bullshit just gets extremely tired. He’s obviously a miserable person.

I don’t mean to make light of suicide.

            1. Not nearly as happy about that as I.

I get the impression that the reason you spend so much time here is because you have no friends and no life. It must be sad to be so unloved.

  1. “It’s clear that we don’t have enough people that genuinely understand who we’re up against. We’re in a war with leftists.”

is responsible. Rush should be arrested and charged with a crime.

        1. This clearly falls under the Second Amendment which says blasting away at innocent people preserves their right to clearly hear an opposing viewpoint, or the Fourth Amendment which affirms the right to bear and use arms against a well regulated volunteer militia, or the First Amendment which guarantees the right of a trigger finger and misguided mind to associate in public to redress taxes on job creators, or the Tenth Amendment which reserves for the states the power to use violence against pregnant campaign workers. I’m not exactly a constitutional scholar, but I’m sure it’s one of those.
