UPDATE: In response to questions about the photo below that have surfaced on a nationally prominent blog, we were forwarded another photo from yesterday’s Colorado Hispanic Republicans rally. Our source doesn’t want to misrepresent the size of yesterday’s crowd, and in all fairness, this second photo does show more people in attendance than the first.
As in, about three. ¡No más! See the “full crowd” after the jump.

The press advisory went out last week with great fanfare:

Unfortunately, something happened between that bold announcement and the actual Colorado Hispanic Republicans rally held yesterday at the state capitol.
Anonymous photo
Something obviously happened, because there appear to be more Colorado Hispanic Republicans listed on the press advisory than actually in attendance at yesterday’s rally.
It could honestly be a good thing to to see that lengthy advisory–otherwise you might get the idea that the people in the photo are all the Colorado Hispanic Republicans who, you know, exist.
Pro organizing tip: if a rally is about to send the opposite of the message you want, cancel it.

This reduced size copy was made this morning, of course.
of Republican mucho celebraciГіn mas grande . . .
that hardly anyone uses the word “Hispanic” anymore to refer to the Latino community.
I usually describe myself as “Hispanic” rather than “Latino,” unless I’m speaking Spanish. Not out of preference, just habit.
The point isn’t that everyone was going to show up nor that those listed in the announcement were going to be there.
The point is that those listed in the announcement were willing to believe there were Hispanic Republicans in Denver metro that could show up.
See, faith and belief are more important than actually showing up. And that’s the point. Oh, and that the pastor at St Thomas Moore was willing to meet with the household and yard staff of his congregation outside the church is kinda big, ’cause he sure isn’t going to see them at STM.
Pols just photoshopped them out because they are biased
but they were on the east side of the Capitol. Rumor has it there was a mistake in the press release which said the rally was gonna be on the east side.
Statistically speaking, 75% of those folks are most likely wandering tourists who stopped by to see what all the quiet was about.
I guess many “Hispanic Republicans” will want to deport me because I decided to title the subject of this reply in Spanish!
