I really enjoyed this CPR interview with Rep. Jennifer Bacon, mostly about SROs, school safety, and state gun bills. Bacon was a great person to interview, having served on Denver School Board and now as a state rep. CPR's Ryan Warner asked tough yet respectful questions, plus covered a lot of ground. The whole thing expanded my perspective on some complex issues.

Boobert at it again;
“And, you know, maybe one of the things that we need to address with the Democrat party is, you played a clip from the teachers union with Randi there talking,” Boebert said. “Maybe one thing we need to address is we’re not a democracy! So quit with that!”

Jimmy Kimmel just noted the other night Granny's being a fountain of wisdom.
Sure, if it's a fountain of pee! I hate the amount of attention she gets, but I get to share something like once a month. This might be the worst Congressional interrogation I've ever seen, and I feel for the poor guy with actual intelligence that she kept talking over.

Now hopefully some of the other investigations into serious crimes will follow suit.
As Lyndon Johnson said when he got the Senate to approve the weak and essentially symbolic 1957 Voting Rights Act, it's a lot like a woman's loss of her virginity. Not very pleasurable that the first time but it does get better later on.
INFORMED commentary on this case?
Any supporters/detractors of American Muckrakers want to comment.
My name is Dan Ernst, Ernst Legal Group LLC serves as legal counsel for American Muckrakers PAC, (“AMP”) against Lauren Boebert, who has maliciously defamed AMP and continues to purposefully interfere with the organization’s capacity to exercise its first amendment rights.
As you may know, AMP filed a lawsuit in North Carolina against Representative Boebert and the Judge there ruled the suit should be filed in Colorado. Ernst Legal Group LLC is a Colorado-based law firm specializing in defamation and first amendment law, and stands ready to bring suit against Mrs. Boebert in Colorado.
To anyone paying attention to the news it is apparent that free speech in America is under attack from various quarters.
Being able to report information critical of elected officials without fear of governmental reprisal is a foundational right of our democracy, enshrined in the first amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Representative Boebert launched just such a reprisal against American Muckrakers PAC, Inc. when AMP accurately reported information critical of her as a candidate. In the Summer and Fall of 2022, AMP published information verified by multiple sources that called into question Representative Boebert’s so-called “conservative values.” Boebert promptly went onto Fox News and other conservative media outlets to smear AMP, its staff and donors, defaming them as intentionally lying about her and threatening AMP with suit. That suit has never come, and AMP’s request to the media outlets that allowed and encouraged her to smear AMP have dismissively denied AMP’s request to allow President David B. Wheeler on to correct the record and defend his organization’s reputation.
Representative Boebert hopes that by defaming and threatening AMP with lawsuits, she will silence the organization and undermine its capacity to continue reporting critically on her candidacy. Letting her win will have a chilling effect not only on AMP, but on others who wish to exercise their first amendment rights to question the suitability of candidates for elected office. We can’t let this go without a fight. "
