4. Great Goldman quote this morning. Even well-meaning ignorant people promote violence by default.

   Ex: An elderly neighbor  is sending money to the bogus anti-trafficking group “Operation Underground Railroad”, (OUR) publicized by the hit movie “Sound of Freedom”.

   I told her that OUR’s executives each make much more per year than OUR pays in total to victims of trafficking, but she doesn’t care. “ I don’t care how much they make as long as they’re helping those  poor, poor children“, she said. 
    

   OUR may actually be increasing sex trafficking in its relentless quest for publicity. Execs have worked with Trump and other right wing media personalities on “sealing the border” and recently, against public acceptance of drag queens. 

   In my adult education class, we are discussing apocalyptic fiction and why it is popular. Climate change  is a more realistic apocalyptic scenario than a zombie virus, according to science, I said. “ But those scientists don’t always know what they’re talking about, “ my student replied. He explained a theory he saw “on the nternet” that TV waves are taking over our brains. 

   Preparing to take the Science GED exam  may be an uphill battle.
