Wow, Sen Fenberg’s bare knuckled move to stop Republican stall tactics was pretty gutsy!
Democrats are determined to get shit done.
The timeline for the special session matters. Colorado Politics coverage included
I really am ambivalent about Judge Wallace's decision.
On the one hand, felonious actions should preclude a candidacy for elected office. On the other hand, he has yet to be convicted of anything and it is unlikely that he will be convicted before next November. (Fani Willis expects her trial to extend into early 2025.)
There is also the argument that the voters should get to decide. Of course, most of these are the same voters who elected him in 2016 so I don't have a lot of faith in that process. And the polls show him winning in 2024. (I know polls eleven months out are meaningless, yadda yadda yadda.)
On a personal level, this means that as an indie, I get to choose between Trump, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley when I send my GOP primary ballot back. (I'm guessing that the field will winnow down to those three by the end of February.) Of course, if "Hold My Beer" Williams and his ace attorney John Eastman are successful, I will be disenfranchised.
Saw over on X there was a protest in the House gallery to “free Palestine”. While I’m sympathetic to the plight of Palestinian innocents caught in the crossfire of Israel and Hamas, interrupting state business does nothing to achieve that goal.
I tried to see if I could make an anagram of the above poster's handle into "Moderatus," but couldn't quite make it work. Or should I say "well, it turned into all proper."
I’d reply to Millard Monte but this blog hasn’t figured out how to let those of us who use IPads to use the reply function.
The No Labels cash presidential primary …..
The No Labels party asked its supporters if they would pay $100 to help choose its 2024 nominee (msn.com)
Question: If I pay $200, can I get two votes?
That's kind of the way it works…isn't it?
Congratulations to Colorado broadcaster Lorrie Boyer for being recognized “Broadcaster of the Year” by the National Association of Farm Broadcasters. Lorrie brings passion, dedication, and her remarkable agricultural stories to life to many different audiences.
Is it too late for her to get a mention on U.S.Farm Report, you think?
I don't usually miss it. I'll let you know if I see her.
Please do. She does a grear job!
Well…a long shot, but no mention of Ms. Boyer. We need quality people telling the nation what is going on, as I consider agricultural and farm news extremely important. I recommend U.S.Farm Journal to everyone.
I think my city dwelling friends forget how critical the state of farming and ranching is to THEIR circumstances. Practically everything they eat, wear, and use comes from a farm or ranch. As more and more products move away from a petroleum origin, the significance of rural, ag-based, industry only grows.
