All Republicans in Colorado Delegation vote for Impeachment Proceedings Against President Biden

As The Washington Post reports:

House Republicans voted Wednesday to formally authorize an impeachment inquiry against President Biden in an effort to strengthen their oversight powers as Republican lawmakers continue to investigate the Biden family’s finances.

The inquiry, which was launched without a vote in September by Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), then serving as speaker, has so far failed to prove the GOP’s claim that Biden benefited financially from his son’s foreign investment deals.

The vote brought about by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), however, had near-unanimous support among Republicans and comes after the president’s son Hunter Biden on Wednesday defied a congressional subpoena in the probe.

No Democrats voted in support of the measure, which passed on a vote of 221-212.

All three of the Republican members of Colorado’s Congressional delegation — Reps. Lauren Boebert, Ken Buck, and Doug Lamborn — voted “YES” on the passage of a resolution to open a formal impeachment investigation into President Biden for reasons that nobody can yet articulate.

Boebert and Lamborn were expected to do whatever House Republican leadership told them to do. Buck also did what was expected of him, albeit in an entirely different manner.

After saying for months that there was no evidence that Biden committed any sort of crime and as recently as two days ago calling himself “the lone Republican” likely to vote “NO” on opening an impeachment investigation, “CNN Ken” did what he always does: Fold.

“CNN Ken” Buckpedaled yet again and dutifully voted “YES” on opening an impeachment investigation, nevermind that he has spent the better part of six months calling impeachment a ridiculous waste of time every chance a every cable TV channel allowed him to open his mouth.

We’re not surprised that Buck’s words mean nothing, but hopefully potential future employers and/or television producers will finally start to understand that this is a man who believes in absolutely nothing and couldn’t stick to an opinion if it was glued onto his forehead.

In the meantime, we’ll update as we learn more about the process and the fallout. Remember, 17 House Republicans represent districts that Biden carried in 2020; voters in those districts aren’t going to be happy about this.

  1. I wonder if they threatened Buck with being fed into a wood chipper … or cut him off from future GOP lobbying gigs.  Something truly awful and life-threatening must have been involved to get Buck to flip his position, for sure!

    1. They wouldn’t have needed to feed all of him into a wood chipper, Just that nose that shot out like a certain wooden boy’s when he said there was no evidence for impeachment.
