Presidential Primary Ballots are In the Mail

  • by: Colorado Pols

There may not be a wealth of choices on your ballot, but you’ll still get to cast a vote for the March 5 Presidential Primary in Colorado.

Election officials began mailing ballots for the March 5 Primary this week. For more information on voter registration and ballot issues, go to GoVoteColorado.com.

  1. The fact that the Republican ballots are going out with Trump's name on them is, I think, another tacit indication that SCOTUS will be siding in his favor.  They could've issued an order affirming the opinion of the Colorado Supreme Court or at least lifting the stay, but they didn't.

Reminds me of September of 2022 when SCOTUS refused to block Texas' abortion bounty law from going into effect.  That was writing on the wall that it was about to overturn Roe and that's exactly what happened.

There's that worn out hypothetical question about whether a person capable of time travel should go back and stop Bad Guy X.  The sad thing about Trump's rise is that many people have the ability to stop his political resurrection, but nobody appears willing to exercise the fortitude to stop him.  Historians will have a lot to say about this era.

It is a function of SCOTUS granting a stay of the Colorado Supreme Court ruling pending review of the case (which has now had oral arguments). It isn't a message at all from any Colorado official.
