  1. someone publishing "Democrats on the ballot" for State House and Senate seats says Colorado has Democratic candidates for 16 of 18 Senate seats and 57 of 65 House seats.

I'm off chasing eclipses this week (and interacting with relatives, too), so didn't go try to figure out if there really were no candidates or if they simply hadn't been picked by the relevant Democratic assemblies or hadn't yet filed signatures to get on the ballot.  Anyone know if the "B+" efforts shown (89% and 88%) is the final word?

    1. The party of freedom and liberty – – ha, ha. All they needed to do is put her in a Trump chicken wire cage . . . .  What a disgusting (and dangerous) bunch of people.

      1. The only part of the First Amendment they really like is the free exercise proselytization clause allowing them to shove their bullshit belief down everyone throats.

Of course, the Second Amendment is where they really go to town.

      2. Cole was my rep.  Didn't vote for him, but I respected him both as a legislator and a practicing attorney.  Don't blame him for leaving.  He's 100% right about the Qlown Qar that is the CO GOP now.

    2. Jeff YeeHaw!  (he really needs to ditch that cowboy hat) had some thoughts on Twitter this afternoon:

The Colorado media does not care about 1st Amendment rights, does not care about quality journalism, has not spoken out to defend journalists regarding fair treatment if affiliated with a conservative, and has manufactured this fake outrage to attack Republicans.

Colorado has been the center of multiple 1st Amendment rights battles – Jack Phillips, 303 Creative, and many reporters have been on the side of state censorship against viewpoints they disagree with. Just last year, Colorado Democrats banned pro-life doctors and nurses from even sharing information about abortion reversal pills. Where was the First Amendment defense? Over and over again, reporters have stood against conservatives and their free speech rights.

Reporters in Colorado often use slander, gotcha journalism, and omission to drive unfair and unbalanced stories against conservatives. Reporters don’t hold themselves or each other accountable for this. Publications lean overwhelmingly liberal and have been used to support Democrats against Republicans. A record number of Americans have no trust in the media at all.

When a conservative tried to start a balanced news outlet, the leftist media forced the experienced editor out as President of the Colorado Press Association claiming concerns over “special interests.” The media themselves forced out someone from a leadership position because they didn’t like the conservatives they were affiliated with.

Bottom line, the same leftist media that has stood with the state against conservative free speech, produced slanderous journalism against conservatives, and forced out an editor from the president of the Colorado Press Association all of a sudden stood for 1st Amendment Rights, fair and balanced journalism, and fair treatment of journalists?

This is manufactured outrage towards the Republican party by people who, if they really cared, would take steps to address the same problems in their own field.

“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye!” Matthew 7:5.

“I’m not the hypocrite, YOU’RE the hypocrite!!”

  2. This, in part,  is why Florida is arguably in play, and why our decades-long War on Drugs Colored People has been a colossal failure. I’ll know Jeff is serious about “vices” when he takes on the alcohol industry. The Colorado experience has been imperfect, but unwinding eight decades of hysteria and bigotry was always going to be a challenge. Someone had to lead that fight and I couldn’t be prouder that it was Colorado.  Governor Polis has been a champion of freedom since his time in Congress.

Note to Jeff/GOP: no one calls it “pot” anymore except ignorant Prohibitionists.

Grassroots Support for Legalizing Marijuana Hits Record 70%

    1. The problem is that people will vote for these initiatives (pro choice, pro legal weed) and then vote for Trump at the top of the ticket.

Some people can easily and completely obliterate any cognitive dissonance from their already fairly vacuous minds.

      1. Neatly every rural school district that Hunt’s new boss will represent until next January has a new, or substantially remodeled, public school complex built through BEST,  One hundred percent of marijuana excise tax revenue collected is credited to the state’s Capital Construction Assistance Fund, which .., wait for it.. funds the Building Excellent Schools Today (BEST) program. In every case these new/refurbished schools are rightfully the apple of their community’s eye.

Almost all rural counties opted out of allowing production, extraction and retail (they couldn’t make possession illegal) but they still got the benefits of the mostly-urban activities generating the revenue.  It’s akin to HoBo taking credit for infrastructure projects she voted against

        The cognitive dissonance is real

        1. Reminds me of The Little Red Hen. They’re more than happy to help her eat spend the bread even as they continue to rail agaoinst its source

    1. Melania made some gay, soft porn videos and photo shoots in her escort days, prior to finding her sugar daddy

No, I'm not gonna link to them.

      1. Ah, yes! Thanks for reminding us.

I've never seen the movies but I recall once seeing a still photo of our former First Lady in a Sapphic love moment.

Pretty certain neither Bess Truman nor Mamie Eisenhower were ever photographed like that!

        1. I have a relative in the "Melania is the smartest and most beautified lady we've ever had" camp. I mentioned the soft porn. She didn't believe me. I Googled it right then and showed her. She replied, "you can't believe everything you see on Google!".

Once a Magadonian, always a Magadonian.

  3. Only Fat Donnie could pull off this Yuge trifecta in a weeks time. His beloved social media meme stock lost almost half its value, akin to lighting about $4 billion on fire. Then it was (shockingly) revealed that after the media ate the shit sandwich special of the day it was served that a pair of Trump sneakers re-sold for almost half-a-million, turns out it didn’t happen.  Last nights hostage taking at Whore-a-Lago reportedly netted $50 million from a handful of grassroots billionaires. We’re into Q2 now so by the time those numbers are reported and we discover that a few creative accounting tricks were deployed, we’ll have long-forgotten about last night and be focused on the next circus act.

Only a week left until the Fat Donnie-Stormy Daniels reunion!

    1. You posted a link to the story so… now it is!

The answer looks pretty simple though. No new stories have been posted since April 5 and this was reported on April 6!

  4. When God closes one door He opens a window ……

Polls show young voters going for Trump and older voters backing Biden. What's going on? – POLITICO

We've heard so much about the infactuation young people had with Obama and Bernie Sanders but it was not so much with Biden. But Biden is compensating with those closer to his own age!

Young people may sometimes vote. Old people always do vote.

Biden may be getting the better end of the trade.
