  1. Who knew? They're harboring Trump supporters on the payroll at MSNBC.

Pelosi accuses MSNBC host of being ‘apologist for Donald Trump’ | The Hill

BTW, Nancy. The correct response was not to attack the questioner – who made a valid point about the pandemic and the economy – but to point out that Trump mishandled the pandemic in the US at the start.

Remember his initial statement in February 2020? He was fixated on the “optics” of a cruise ship docking in the US and sick passengers disembarking. He was incapable of thinking about the way in which a pandemic, left unchecked, evolves.

    1. Would have been a good time to ask Nancy about the cool 1.8 million she recently pocketed off NVIDIA in a 92 day time frame. That insider info must be nice.

          1. There are a lot of things she has done that I liked and appreciated, too.

But like many of her colleagues in our gerontocracy – Mitch McConnell, Chuck Grassley, Dianne Feinstein, Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, to name but a few – she has probably stayed at the party a little too long.

To their credit, Pelosi, Hoyer and Clyburn at least stepped down as leaders rather than wait until they were carried out in boxes. McConnell jumped before he was pushed.

  2. The judge is clear on his expectations for Trump.  AP coverage of Judge Merchan's ruling:

Merchan wrote that he is “keenly aware of, and protective of,” Trump’s First Amendment rights, “particularly given his candidacy for the office of President of the United States.”

“It is critically important that defendant’s legitimate free speech rights not be curtailed, that he be able to fully campaign for the office which he seeks and that he be able to respond and defend himself against political attacks,” Merchan wrote.

Still, he warned, that the court would not tolerate “willful violations of its lawful orders and that if necessary and appropriate under the circumstances, it will impose an incarceratory punishment.”

In the meantime, add $9,000 to Trump's court tab.

    1. "In the meantime, add $9,000 to Trump's court tab."

Which can mean only one thing.

It's time to shake the tun cup and send out another fundraising solicitation to the rubes in the MAGA-verse pleading for more $$$.

    2. I feel like I remember some politician defending their social media posts by saying something like "Many poeple in my campaign have access to that account. There's no proof that I, personally, said that." I'm kinda surprised that Trump hasn't tried that.

Apparently the acceptance of this punishment shows definitively that Trump's social media posts are posted by Donald Trump himself, likely while sitting on the toilet like the rest of us.
