1. We should start a thread called "Trump's so stupid, …"

   Trump's so stupid, he thinks the gag order prevents him from testifying at his own trial!

   In the hallway outside the courtroom on Thursday, Trump told reporters: “Well, I'm not allowed to testify. I'm under a gag order, I guess. I can't testify.” He added: “I'm not allowed to testify because this judge is totally conflicted, has me under an unconstitutional gag order.”

2. Jeffco GOP cancels Kristi Noem event amid dog-killing controversy

   Noem is facing nationwide, bipartisan condemnation for her new book’s claim that killing an unruly puppy was a sign of her leadership ability.

   Jeffco Republicans initially embraced the controversy as a means to sell tickets to their fundraising, saying that Noem “will share her perspective on the animal killings” at the dinner event, adding “Don’t miss out.”

   Trump Media auditor accused of massive fraud by SEC

   The agency, calling BF Borgers a “sham audit mill,” said the company and its owner “deliberately systematically failed to conduct” in accordance with Public Company Accounting Oversight Board standards audits and quarterly reviews incorporated in more than 1,500 SEC filings from January 2021 through June 2023.

   The SEC said the Lakewood, Colorado-based auditor lied to clients by saying its work complied with PCAOB standards, fabricated audit documents to make it seem that the work did comply with those standards, and falsely claims in audit reports included in more than 500 public company SEC filings that the firm’s audits complied with such standards.

   After opening lower than yesterday's close and falling a further $3.64, the DJT shares have recovered some and are now down "only" $0.47 from the open.
