This item is not directly political, but Pols is, collectively, the best source of information I trust.
I saw, this morning, a note on a Wegovy television ad saying you should contact them at their website before you consult with your "heath care professional". I have never seen that statement before. What happened to "ask your doctor if this is right for you"? It is not OTC.
Blame the Supreme Court for elevating commercial speech to core First Amendment protection and rendering TV ads a stream of misleading pharmaceutical pitches for drugs most people can't afford because "freedumb"
There once was a time when pharmaceutical companies targeted their advertising to medical professionals who in turn decided whether a particular drug was efficacious for treating a patient. Granted, they still spend a lot of $$$ on free samples, junkets, three-martini lunches, etc.
But since we live in our modern DIY society, why not cut out the middle man, tell the patient directly about all the benefits of a particular med, cram all the risks into one long, run-on sentence about possible side effects, and include the tag line, "Talk to your doctor about whether XXX is right for you" as the PR firm shows someone enjoying a wonderful, carefree life.
My "favorite" disclaimer is "Do not use XXX if you are allergic to XXX."
This was definitely one of the worst things to emerge from the late '90s. Having people come to see their doctor and demand a drug they saw on T.V. or in a magazine. Doctors hate it. There can be numerous reasons a patient ought not take a particular drug, and people can be awfully hard-headed when the doctor refuses to prescribe it.

The great flood was the result of “The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.” Nothing specific to sex of ANY variety, and much broader — some commentaries say the wording covers unplanned AND planned acts, actions done and actions only in thought.
Genesis 9 is accurate enough: in English translation it says
God leaves PLENTY of room for judgment and resulting punishment. “I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
Or, as the song puts it: “God gave Noah the rainbow sign, No more water, the fire next time.”

This poll of the 4th CD GOP primary seems to my cynical eyes like a massive outlier (Qbie up by 35 points!!!), but I might be fooling myself. And almost no matter what, if you're polling at 4% less than a month before the election, the future does not seem quite bright to me.

The only way Qbert loses is if the others agree that only one of them will remain in the race. This is trump 2016 all over again, when the GOP could have beaten him if they'd only had one candidate challenging him in the primaries. But ego knows no bounds and since each of these non-Qbert candidates think he or she is the right person for the district–and unwilling to realize that he or she will not win in a diluted primary–they cannot agree that defeating Qbert is more important for the common good than their own egos. If we can only convince Qbert to someday run for Senate, where she can get her ass kicked and be gone.
How the hell is Sonnenberg polling at only 4%? He must have really pissed off a lot of people to get their.
I realize that Boebert has more name recognition than Sonnenberg may have, but he does have SOME recognition.

And I find it hard to believe that Holtorf is polling as high as 4%. Me thinks this poll is an outlier.
