“How can a president not be an actor?”

–Ronald Reagan

  1. Reagan was an actor with mostly good values, understood that the Soviets and Russia were our foes, and that Democrats were Americans and not our foes.

Trump is an actor with poor values, and believes that Democrats are our foes, and that Russia is not our foe.

  2. Reagan was neither a good actor nor a good president.  His legacy is one of income inequality and courts embracing the delusion of originalism.

  3. I don't have a dog in the fight for the Dem primary in CD-5, but there's a guy named Joe Reagan running. I just think it would be fun to see a bunch of Reagan signs near the Reagan Highway in Reagan country, if only to gauge what kind of weight the Reagan name alone carries.

    1. Perhaps Ron, Jr., when not filming his Separation of Church and State public service announcements, can weigh in with a TV endorsement for Joe.

Or better yet, maybe MAGA-folk will confuse Joe Reagan with Joe Rogan. (You know many of those people have trouble with English as a first language.)

              1. I had forgotten about Silverado. If we take a strictly Colorado Pols view, maybe Jeb > Neil because of the Colorado angle, but they both have financial scandal going for them and Jeb does literally nothing for me, so it's tough to feel great about the "greater than" sign for either.

                1. Neil was in a class of his own.

I remember when Neil wanted to just sit down and explain to the investigators what happened with Silverado, figuring he could talk his way out of it.

Jr., who hitherto had the reputation for being the most stupid member of that generation of that family, told him, "Shut up and do what your lawyers tell you to do! And don't do or say anything else."

And that is how our 43rd president moved up a notch from his role as the most stupid Bush brother.
