The long-awaited trial of ex-Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters on felony charges stemming from her failed attempt to supply evidence of election fraud after the 2020 presidential election is underway this week with jury selection, and as the Grand Junction Sentinel’s Charles Ashby reports, the atmosphere outside the courtroom in Grand Junction is as circus-like as deputies on the scene will allow:
Wait, does he mean that Ricky Schroder, the child actor turned far-right Hollywood exile who (checks notes) does own property in Mesa County? The very same:
Although his acting career in recent years hasn’t amounted to much, Schroder’s strident conservative political activism has earned him some replacement attention. Shroder is perhaps most famous recently for posting two-time teenage killer Kyle Rittenhouse’s $2 million bail with help from Mike “MyPillow Guy” Lindell. We haven’t Schroder’s name previously come up as one of Tina Peters’ devout and sometimes threatening supporters, but given his background and proximity it’s no surprise.
The one thing we can say is it’s a relief that these encounters are taking place inside a secure building where everybody has been checked for implements of destruction.
We’ll update when news reports are filed on today’s proceedings inside and antics outside the courtroom–and remember that these are just the preliminary days of a trial expected to run well into next week. So the sermonizers and reporter accosters should pace themselves.

Well, sure seems like more fuel for the "Why do people think we're weird?" fire.
UPDATE
Anyone interested: there is a YouTube access claiming
I’ve checked a couple of times today, and only saw a PLEASE STAND BY message and no pictures. Perhaps nothing until the jury is selected and seated and the court is in session for opening arguments.
UPDATE: I just checked back and the Judge is giving the jury a descrtiption of the court process.
