Dave Williams Is Everyone's Republican Daddy Now

UPDATE: Identity theft! Hackers! Fraud! Colorado GOP so-called Ballot and Election Security Committee Chairman “Raging” Ron Hanks sends an update to the party faithful blasting the “squatters” who voted last weekend to oust chairman Dave Williams, and asking for Williams’ supporters to show up to the “real” meeting this coming Saturday in Castle Rock:

Last week, 77 people attended an illegitimate meeting, carrying 100 illegitimate proxies for others. Those 77 attendees then improperly changed party rules to imply they had a majority, and then tried to impose their will on the entire Colorado Republican Party.

Behaving no differently than lowly property squatters, they pretended they had ownership of YOUR party.

These frauds should be called The Masquerade Party.

The fact is, they are a minority of party members who have never shared your values. They are supported by previous discredited and corrupt leadership teams and a cabal of consultants that bilk candidates of resources. The self-anointed emperor of this grade school charade, Eli Bremer – who once declared, “the Trump Era is now officially over” – is now masquerading as if he were a properly elected party official.

It would be laughable, if the rest of us were not trying to elect President Trump this November in our last, best effort to save this great nation. If we let posers like Eli Bremer, Brita Horn, and Kevin McCarney fake our identity, we can be sure they would be useless to Trump’s campaign and to our grassroots conservative values.

Colorado GOP chairman Dave Williams.

As the internal struggle over the future of the Colorado Republican Party rolls on toward a fateful reprise meeting of the party’s central committee this Saturday to once again entertain the question of firing chairman Dave “Brandon Gone” Williams and his loyal executive subordinates, the official party account sent out what could be the most bizarre email blast on the subject we’ve seen yet–and that, gentle readers, is saying a mouthful:

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with you all. On August 26th, our Colorado Republican Party Chairman, Dave Williams, and his wife, Emily, welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world! Both mother and baby are healthy and doing well, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

This precious new life brings immense joy and reminds us of the values we all hold dear—faith in God, the sanctity of life, and the strength of family. Dave Williams is not only our current, rightfully elected Chairman of the Colorado Republican Party; he is also a dedicated husband and father to four amazing children. The arrival of their new son is a testament to the love and commitment that Dave and Emily share, and it’s a moment of pure happiness for their growing family…

First of all, congratulations to Williams on the birth of his latest child! We wish his growing family nothing but the best, though it’s a shame that a couple of recent employment opportunities for Williams haven’t worked out–or in Williams’ case as GOP chairman, are in the process of not working out.

But then, as you have to have been expecting otherwise why would we be wasting your time, things took a turn for the truly bizarre:

These principles of family, faith, and life are the very foundation of our Republican platform. They drive us to work tirelessly every day to protect and celebrate the ideals that make our nation great. Under Chairman Dave Williams’ strong leadership, we are on a winning path, laser-focused on the upcoming general election and fully dedicated to our 226 candidates. Unlike the fringe minority faction that seeks to disrupt our progress through deceit and lies, we remain undeterred and united.

Despite their recent “sham” meeting, Chairman Dave Williams remains the only rightfully elected leader of the Colorado Republican Party, and we stand firmly behind him. [Pols emphasis] With just 69 days until the general election and 46 days until ballots drop, we are resolute in our mission to elect conservative Republicans across Colorado. The uniparty and their allies may continue to spread falsehoods, but they cannot stop us from winning.

Please join us in congratulating Dave and Emily on the joyous addition to their family and in continuing to work hard to secure victories this November…

We were willing to go along with wishing Dave’s family well, but that doesn’t mean he should be the Colorado Republican Party’s…dad? Is that really the message here? The transition from welcoming Williams’ new son into the world into bashing Williams’ enemies like they hate babies themselves isn’t just jarring, it’s downright psychotic. So let’s establish clearly for the record that it is possible to wish Dave Williams and his latest baby the best, and nonetheless not want Williams to be party chairman anymore like 88% of Central Committee members in attendance last Saturday voted.

Everyone loves babies, not so much politicians who hide behind them.

  1. Time for Williams to get in touch with his inner Mighty Galtian Ubermensch, get out of politics, and make some money for those young 'uns in the private sector.
