  1. Wow, the Boulder King Soopers shooter got 10 life sentences plus another 1,334 years in state prison! No comment beyond that, I'm usually snarky but this ain't the time for it.

  2. Well, I think I have some good news. The gov'nor of Nebraska has decided not to hold a special session that could've changed Nebraska from a state that awards Electoral votes by congressional district to a winner-take-all state. Nebraska's a pretty red state, but last time around the congressional district around Omaha went blue. IMHO it would've been particularly scummy to change formulas so close to the election, but scum no longer surprises me. And one Electoral vote could really matter this time around.

    1. Republican Representatives, Senators, and Governor were all in to change the rule to unify the Electoral College vote rather than continue the 30 years of assigning 2 for the state victor, one each for the victor in the House district.  To get it done  this late, they needed a super majority — and one legislators needed refused to go along.

I don't think the one vote will make the difference. Scenarios for making it matter are Trump not losing any states AND  flipping 3 states from Biden's coalition – Georgia, Arizona & Nevada.  Then, the one vote will make the final difference.
