2. JD Vance will be Dictator if Trump Wins – Obviously. H/T Heather Cox-Richardson

   Their worldview requires a few strong leaders to impose their will on the majority, and both Thiel and Vance have rejected secular democracy. “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible,” Thiel wrote in 2009. 

   In 2021, Vance called American universities “the enemy” and said on a podcast that people like him needed to “seize the institutions of the left, and turn them against the left.” In a different interview, he clarified: American “conservatives…have lost every major powerful institution in the country, except for maybe churches and religious institutions, which of course are weaker now than they’ve ever been. We’ve lost big business. We’ve lost finance. We’ve lost the culture. We’ve lost the academy. And if we’re going to actually really effect real change in the country, it will require us completely replacing the existing ruling class with another ruling class…. I don’t think there’s sort of a compromise that we’re going to come with the people who currently actually control the country. Unless we overthrow them in some way, we’re going to keep losing.” “We really need to be really ruthless when it comes to the exercise of power,” he said.

   1. It has long been apparent the real terrorists in the MAGA movement are not named Trump. Their names are Miller, Flynn, Vance, Bannon, Roberts, et al.

      The Trumps are just grifters

      During the first interview of Stephen Miller I ever watched, the interviewer was pressing him on some “alternative facts”. He demanded, with one of the most fascist statements imaginable…”We will not be questioned!”   

      That kinda set the tone for the entirety of the Trump administration. It is a criminal exercise, being exploited by anarchists who seek to overthrow the government.

      1. I agree with what you said except characterizing them as anarchists. They don't want to overthrow the government. They want to weild the government to enforce their cultural and economic goals.

3. Rich people: We can't just give people hundreds or thousands of dollars for food, shelter, education and medical care! They need to earn it!

   Also rich people: Here's millions of dollars to get votes.

Seems DJT stock is getting a boost, and DJT himself could be cashing in his chips to pull a Robert Vesco should he lose the election.  His Cryptocrony Billionaire Bros appear to be supporting the stock (maybe they need the tax loss write-off to offset their huge stock gains this year — the S&P 500 is up over 23% year-to-date).

   While no one was watching almost 90 million shares of DJT changed hands today. That would be almost 80% of DonOld’s entire holdings. So much that the exchange stopped trading in the stock for a short period due to the abnormal trading volume.

   The last week has seen the DJT stock price rise over 50%. The trading volume also went from around 15 — 20 million shares a day to more like 30 — 45 million a day.

   Since he knows he’ll be pummeled with criminal trials should he lose, having enough traveling money to become a permanent ex-patriot would be a smart move. It would be sad if he parked his money in a crypto exchange that suddenly did a trump and went belly up! Of course, choosing a South American refuge, or perhaps a Dacha on the Black Sea next to his ol’ buddy, Putin, means he’d have to find a way to ditch his Secret Service detail.
