I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of reaction the United Nations provides to Elise Stefanik when she takes the proposal to the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names (UNGEGN).– fortunately, they have their 5-year meeting in 28 April – 2 May 2025 .
And there are existing bilateral treaties that would need to be modified between the 3 nations, including
Lake Michigan to Lake America West, Lake Superior to Lake Big One, Lake Huron to Lake America East, Lake Erie to Lake America South, Lake Ontario to Lake Over there. Chicago to America, New York to America.
