  1. I thought the speech was generally good, but he seemed to be reviving the Groundhog Day notion that you can stimulate condo construction/ownership by reducing construction defect liability AND do it without exposing homeowners to the risks of said defects. I call it Groundhog Day because the general topic has come up every so often for decades. Furthermore, advocates generally talk about construction defect reform without mentioning the revenue involved in building for-rent apartments relative to for-ownership condos.

  2. Supreme Court refuses to delay Trump’s hush money sentencing

SCOTUS decided against stepping in another pile of horse poo, otherwise they’d never get rid of the stink.  Of course Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Thomas were ready to dive in head first with forks and spoons at the ready!

I’m also expecting Judge Merchan to give Trump and his attorneys a significant verbal spanking for this completely disgraceful episode. “One for the ages” to quote a certain self-important sycophant.

    1. WAPO article also points out that it was TRUMP'S legal team that requested the delay, or he would have been sentenced last summer.

Gotta appreciate that small jab from Judge Merchan, the (narrow) majority of the Supreme Court, and the WAPO.
