As we noted on Friday, House Republicans quite literally showed their asses during a several-hours long debate over whether or not to support a resolution condemning President Donald Trump’s blanket pardons of criminals convicted of various charges — including assaulting police officers — related to the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection.
Rather than follow the lead of Senate Republicans, who decided about a week earlier to just vote “NO” on the resolution and not make a stink about it, House Republicans turned most of the day into a performative political circus. State Rep. “Boxwine” Brandi Bradley even made it clear that the micro-minority House Republican caucus was trying to burn away the hours on Senate Joint Resolution 25-006 so that Democrats wouldn’t be able to do actual work for the rest of the day. Bradley’s plan failed; eventually Republicans ran out of nonsense and a vote on the resolution moved forward (with all 22 Republicans voting “NO”).
Nevertheless, Bradley still had plenty of time to do what she does best: Make a complete fool of herself. Here she is trying to conjure up some whataboutism in comparing the J6 criminals to Black Lives Matter protestors in the summer of 2020:
BRADLEY: Yeah, come up to the ‘well.’ Come up to the ‘well’ prepared to say what he [Donald Trump] said. I just read his speech. Come up to the well prepared, because there were riots all over this country in 2020, and our President then didn’t have the audacity to come up and speak about it. Businesses closed. They [were] boarded up. They were being burned. They were being stolen from. But our President then didn’t say anything about it. I don’t even think our Governor did.
So bring the words up. Bring the words up. Stop coming up here with mistruths and not actual facts. Bring the words!
We know what you’re thinking. Democratic State Rep. Javier Mabrey was thinking the same thing when he brought some facts of his own to the podium:
MABREY: Um, Trump was President in 2020. Just so we’re clear about that.
And, scene!

Seriously. MAGAts are so fucking stupid.
She makes clowns look like forensic accountants.
It’s especially wonderful that Brandi’s so smug and vocal in her obvious, proudly ignorant speaking in tongues — at levels far exceeding peak Dunning-Kruger:
“Come up to the well, come up to the well. Brandi’s got shit stupid as hell to yell; mega Maga ignorance I’m-a-gonna’ sell! Fling the words up! Fling the words! Shamalama ding dong.”
