   could be the setup for a variation on the old inquiry about getting to Carnegie Hall — "Practice, practice, practice."

   the sadder truth — it probably comes closer to the apocryphal story of an exchange between a supporter and Gov. Adlai Stevenson:

   "Governor, you have the vote of every thinking person!" during one of his presidential campaigns.

   That's not enough, madam; we need a majority!

   Trump in 2024 got to majorities in the primaries, at the Republican convention, and in the November general election.
