    1. This is only aggregate win-loss, which dosen’t mean much, especially for the Broncos and Avalanche – winning when it is most important (i.e. – playoffs) should have more weight.  You could have a fairly decent regular season, squeak into the playoffs, and still go on to win the Stanley Cup or the Superbowl, which both teams have respectively.  Nuggets look good with AI and Melo, and well I just can’t make myself defend the Rockies.

All in all Colorado has pretty good professional teams.  You Pols are just fair weather fans.  Stick up for your teams dammit!

        1. is a shithole.

At least you have some consolation in Colorado if your teams suck. You live in a beautiful city and state, so who really cares, right?  But what the hell do they do in KC, Buffalo and Detroit ?

          1. is actually a really nice city!  The Plaze is beautifull, they have more fountains then rome, and some of the best BBQ this side of the mississippi.

              1. Cooked w/o sauce, white bread and sliced onions are somehow good?  Weird beyond words.  While too many sauces overwhelm the meat, a good – great – light sauce like the Memphis style at Yazoo’s on Broadway is scrumptous.  Just enough to flavor, and then you can add additional sauce at the table. Best BBQ I’ve found in Denver.

                1. For Yazoo’s?  I would like to check them out….I love going to Denver for good food, there’s only a handful of good restaruants here in the springs.

                  1. I think just south of where Park Avenue crosses.

A firend of mine called up one day and asked if I wanted to go there for lunch, “It’s the best BBQ joint around.”  Now, how many times have we heard that?  Yeah, whatever, OK.

He was right.  I’ve been back several times.  The rib tip plate is very affordable and piled high.  They make their own sides.

At lunch time the line is long, be forewarned.  But worth it.

              2. before, but I’ve never been to TX so I can’t say.  I think Gates in KC does it really well.  Strong smoked flavor, falls off the bone and a not to sweet tomato based sauce.

    2. Since the only sport that really matters here is football I would propose that ESPN simply pretend the Nugs, Avs, and certainly Rockies don’t even exist (I mean, everyone else does, right?).  That way only the Broncos would count and we would be the 15th WINNINGEST city.

By the way, Jay Elway–er–Cutler and the Broncos’ schedule was released today.  Five primetime games!  And since NBC does that flex-schedule thing we could get a lot more on Sunday night.

Only three months to training camp.  Think we can move it up a little?

      1. I agree, but the Nugs have been lookin’ good lately.  BTW, The Broncos have the winningest home record in the NFL for the past 15 or so seasons.

Let’s move up training camp but ditch 2 of the pre-season games.  They’re worthless.

          1. Kind of reminds me when Jeff Spiccoli said surfing is not a sport, its a way of life.  Its a way of looking at that wave and saying…

            Oh nevermind

      1. I don’t think I could name a single player on any team. I do know John Elway used to play on the Broncos and Michael Jordan used to play b-ball. That’s about it. If my daughters are not on the team then I don’t watch it.

          1. “…often criminal”  And, I presume this is based on your vast statistical knowledge of how athletes there are in all of the four major sports and the respective criminalality rates for them? Stick to what you know, and sports ‘ain’t it!

    3. Look, if you compare, cities with all 4 sports, then we are near the top. There are only a few over us. Overall, I am impressed.

The cool thing about this, is that the nuggets are improving. As to the rockies, well, Charlie monfort use to be a major partier (Charlie, how is the old nose doing? somehow I doubt that you have changed much from the old days), but now his family is involved. It is doubtful that they will allow it to be handled in the same fashion. It will not happen overnight, But I tend to think that they will improve.

    4. I am a Colorado native and I loves me sports teams and will support them to the end.  However, can someone please explain to me why Dan O’Dowd still has a job with the Rockies?  We’ve been re-building forever under his “guidance.”  I’m tired and I want a winner on the diamond too!

        1. Jeez, man.  Will you ever post something that makes sense?  Just because Pols didn’t have a category that I would vote on doesn’t mean I shouldn’t read this “point.”  Point?
