Mayor or Governor?

  • by: Colorado Pols

As speculation about whether Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper will run for governor increases, The Rocky Mountain News takes a look at which is the better job: mayor or governor.

While Denver Mayor is certainly a more directly influential job than governor, being the top dog in Colorado is far more influential overall than mayor. Take a look at the News reasoning as well…

  1. I’ve heard that Hick has said “No” to the governor’s run, not once, but several times, and I like his reasons. What part of “no” do you not understand?

  2. Can anyone else say Hick=Baggage?

If Hick runs for Guv; what is ignored in Denver will kill him statewide.

First, he has never seen a tax increase that he did not like.

Illegal Immigration?  Need we go there?

Life/Choice?  The NARAL push will further show him as a far leftie.

I am not a politician!  If he runs, he may have to have some substance other than the scooter.

Good Management?  What about that blind trust that was Hick still managed?  What about the contracts that were not managed correctly.

Did anyone notice how BB outlines his campaign?  Hick would have serious issues against BB.  If Hick can beat Ritter; the general election would be 40-60 BB or 45-55 BB.
