The Institute for Public Policy Studies at the University of Denver has posted a video of their January 24th Counterpoints Gun Control debate on its website. The four-member panel – two pro-regulation and two anti-regulation – was moderated by Governor Richard Lamm. The event was about 1 1/2 hours long, and included many "gems" and lots of fearmongering from anti-regulation spokesmen Dudley Brown of the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, and state Senator Randy Baumgardner (e.g. Baumgardner: "More people are killed by hammers than guns" and "What's an assault weapon? The bow and arrow used to be called an assault weapon."). SAFE Colorado Co-Founder Arnie Grossman and attorney John Head did a good job of countering Brown's and Baumgardner's worn out talking points.
