Weld County District Attorney and 2010 U.S. Senate candidate Ken Buck revealed over the weekend that he is being treated for lymphoma.
Buck had said publicly that he planned to run for Attorney General in 2014, and he was the likely Republican nominee.
Obviously this news may preclude any campaign efforts for 2014, but that is certainly a secondary concern for Buck and his family. We wish him and his loved ones the best of luck as he battles cancer.

Hopefully, it's Hodgkins' lymphoma, which would be way better. Stay strong, Mr. Buck.
I have a friend who has done super with non-Hodgkins. No cancer is now dectable. There are apparently two kinds and while acute sounds worse, it's actually better. Unless I have it mixed up. At any rate she had the "good" kind of non-Hodgkin's. But whatever type of lymphoma it is, let's join the Buck family in hope for an equally good outcome for Ken Buck.
Ugh. Best wishes for Mr. Buck.
Best wishes Ken Buck. In this fight you have my vote
Nice, Gray,
I hate to see someone fighting bad diseases, no matter which side of the aisle. My best (probably the only one in this catagory) thought of Buck is his ability to ignore politics and prosecute a killer a few years ago in the case of the guy killing a woman with a fire extinguisher. The woman turned out to be transgender.
Fight hard. We do need people different from ourselves to balance a screwy world.
I hope he has good doctors and good insurance.
ANd good humor.
Awful news. Best wishes for Ken and his family. This is really tough to go through.
Thank you, Polsters, for this rare display of humanity.
At least as good as Ted Kennedy got with his diagnosis from your side right?
Rare? Pretty typical in response to this sort of thing, if you ask me.
don't ever let the Guppy sign a get well card. what a turd
It seems rare to A-GOrP because a righty blog would celebrate if it were a Dem pol.
Exactly. More projection.
