It’s hard to believe any elected office is truly non-partisan. I have problems with the current Board believing they had any business censuring any independently elected member. I don’t like their policy of only allowing the board president to speak for them. The U.S.and Colorado Supreme Courts routinely allow dissenting decisions, sometimes even read from the bench.
I also thought the Board was out of place asking then member Vince Chowdhury to resign after he pled guilty to domestic violence. They should not be engaging in extrajudicial decisions.
I’m also disappointed that the Board is unwilling to open their negotiations with the JCEA to the general public. We have a right to know what is going on.
