Paul Ryan in Jeffco Tomorrow

  • by: Colorado Pols

Hot on the heels Mitt Romney’s visit to Jeffco two weeks ago, the Republican’s recently-announced veep pick will be stumping in Lakewood tomorrow morning.

From the Romney campaign:

You’re Invited to a Victory Rally with

Paul Ryan

and the Republican Team

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Doors Open 9:00 AM | Program Begins 11:00 AM

Lakewood High School

9700 W. 8th Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80215

For Questions, Contact us at: TeamCO@mittromney.com | (720) 663-1687

You can snag free tickets to the Ryan event here.

That Paul Ryan is campaigning in Jefferson County just four days after being selected as Mitt Romney’s running mate is further evidence of the extreme emphasis both campaigns are placing on this county. And while Ryan may not be so warmly welcomed at Lakewood High School tomorrow, this and future visits by both the Republican and Democratic nominees will no doubt affect turnout as it impacts races down ballot. In 2008, after all, former State Representative (and later Secretary of State) Bernie Buescher’s loss was widely ascribed to Sarah Palin’s repeated visits to Grand Junction.

At tomorrow’s event, then, expect to see Republican candidate Rick Enstrom frothing at the mouth over Ryan’s presence in his district — whether or not that presence actually helps in the left-leaning HD-23.
