1. If income ineaquality is a good thing, which many conservatives argue, then why the need to lie about it on the pages of the Wall Street Journal?

   In his piece Stephens trashes Obama, accusing him of making a factual error when he did no such thing; then proceeds to commit just about every statistical sin you can imagine in an attempt to minimize the rise in inequality. In the process he leaves his readers more ignorant than they were before. When this is what passes for argument, how can we have any kind of rational discussion?

   Here's some truth about inequality from Paul Krugman in the same article:

   CBO finds that, between 1979 and 2007, income grew by:
   • 275 percent for the top 1 percent of households,
   • 65 percent for the next 19 percent,
   • Just under 40 percent for the next 60 percent, and
   • 18 percent for the bottom 20 percent.

   The vast majority of profits from wealth generated by American Workers is going to the top, not to the Middle Class, the Working Poor or most Entrepeneurs.They aren't getting much from their work towards the American Dream.

2. Seems nowadays that for the vast majority of people, the "American Dream" is to actually have an "American Dream"…instead of their current "American Nightmare".

3. George Leing, BoCo Repug chairman, announces run at Polis for CO 2nd District.
   

   Yeehaw! Here's George opin-ing on the current state of affairs in DC:  

   "However, there is a disturbing desire among some in Washington to increase the role of government in our lives, dictate our choices and reduce our freedom."

   Now just which the fuck party is he talking of here?  Do remind us which party pushed for vaginal ultrasounds, urine tests for benefits recipients, keeping rightful citizens from voting, restricting access to abortion/pregnancy services through assinine regulations, and a whole crapload of other GOPer dictates these folks goosestep too.

   Run, George, run and the good folks of BoCo will be sure to prove you wrong.

   1. And the grifters managed to lighten the wallets of Wyoming taxpayers by $13 million in the process.  No wonder it took them so long to finally boogie.  It's called the Long Con.

      1. That's sad.

         Am I the only one who gets pissed off every time a corporation gets a huge tax break for building a factory or an office somewhere?  Or gets their facility built on taxpayer dollars (that's you, Big Sports….)?

         1. And worse – when their productivity takes a dive from the move, they write it off as a loss and take even more tax breaks, then blame the workers.

            1. The article indicated the move will take place over the next year, so their production is unlikely to suffer much. That will allow plenty of time to train the new employees (few current assembly workers are expected to move to Wyoming).

               Bartels of the Post didn't mention the Wyoming incentives and mischaracterized the move as already completed.

               Par for the course for the Post's "Fair and Balanced" journalistic standards.
