We've discussed before the rising tensions in the Jefferson County Republican Party as hard-right groups such as Dudley Brown's Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO) throw significant resources at hand-picked candidates such as Laura Waters Woods (SD-19) and Tony Sanchez (SD-22). With ballots dropping in the mail in advance of the June 24th Primary, RMGO is going all-in against Republican Lang Sias.
Recently, the RMGO sent out an absurdly-long email (full text after the jump) about Sias that included links to a new website called LangSiasExposed.com. The intent is to show that Sias is not a "real Republican," which is an attack that is admittedly easier to make thanks to Sias' own Photoshop blunders in the past. Here's how the email begins:
Liberal "Republican" Lang Sias has a long list of sins that indicate he couldn't be trusted if he is elected to represent Senate District 19.
That's why it's imperative that you vote for Laura Woods in the June 24th Republican Primary, as ballots are already in the mail!
It's bad enough that Lang didn't lift a finger to help the effort to recall anti-gun State Senator Evie Hudak.
It's bad enough that he refused, multiple times, to sign the petition to recall Evie Hudak.
And, it's bad enough that he has refused, TWICE, to fill out the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners Candidate Survey and go on record as to where he stands on your Second Amendment rights.
But, you don't have to dig too deep into Lang's record to find out that it only gets worse, and, in many ways, explains a lot about him. You see, Lang Sias was a registered Democrat as recently as 2006, and did his part to help elevate anti-gun politicians like Mark Udall into office.
Will RMGO's efforts be enough to make Sias go 0-for-3 in his efforts to get elected to something? (Sias lost a GOP Primary for CD-7 in 2010 before losing two years later in SD-19 against Democrat Evie Hudak) We're inclined to give RMGO the benefit of the doubt in this race, since they appear to have done enough to move Sanchez ahead of establishment favorite Mario Nicolais in the SD-22 Primary.
The full text of the RMGO email is available after the jump.
Dear XXX,Yes, you read the subject line correctly. In 2002, Lang Sias contributed $250 to then-Democrat Congressman Mark Udall's re-election campaign. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, and that's why you should click the image below to learn more about Lang's record.Liberal "Republican" Lang Sias has a long list of sins that indicate he couldn't be trusted if he is elected to represent Senate District 19.That's why it's imperative that you vote for Laura Woods in the June 24th Republican Primary, as ballots are already in the mail! But, you don't have to dig too deep into Lang's record to find out that it only gets worse, and, in many ways, explains a lot about him.You see, Lang Sias was a registered Democrat as recently as 2006, and did his part to help elevate anti-gun politicians like Mark Udall into office. It should give every Republican primary voter great pause that Lang supported a radical Democrat who voted for a magazine ban, voted to fund the U.N. Small Arms Treaty, and voted for the Toomey-Manchin universal firearms REGISTRATION bill. After knowing he supported one of the worst gun-grabbers in Congress (now, in the United States Senate), it's not surprising that Lang Sias refused to fill out the RMGO Candidate Survey, or that he refused to help the recall. In my experience, when a politician behaves like this, it's often a sign that they're hiding anti-gun views. But, when you have a record like Lang's, it's a dead giveaway. Click the image below to learn more about his record. Most troubling is the fact that Lang Sias is now hoping to sneak into elected office by running for the seat that was occupied by former anti-gun State Senator Evie Hudak after her historic ouster.I don't know about you, but to me, it would be a HUGE slap in the face to the hundreds of recall volunteers and the over 20,000 people who signed the recall petition if Lang Sias is elected to that seat. You see, Lang Sias may have dropped his affiliation as a Democrat in 2006, but he didn't become a registered "Republican" until almost TWO YEARS LATER when he started to have political ambitions. After two decades in politics, I can tell you that blind ambition and loose principles are a terrible combination for your Constitutional rights. When Lang Sias ran for Congress as a "Republican" in 2010, Republican primary voters were smart enough to see through Lang's deception and chose not to make him their nominee that year for Congressional District 7.Yet, even after being rejected by his own party in 2010, Lang Sias was undeterred.Armed with his lust for power, he ran again for office in 2012, this time against Evie Hudak in Senate District 19.But, even while he was running as a "Republican" that year, he was busy cozying up to some of the most radical leftists in the state. He even accepted money from liberal activist and tycoon Tim Gill's front group. Now, if you don't know who Tim Gill is, I'm talking about the same Tim Gill who is responsible for leading and funding the ultra-radical leftist takeover of Colorado. It's not surprising then that Republican voters in Senate District 19 that year were so disappointed with Lang Sias' unprincipled campaign, that he lost a seat that a Republican shouldn't lose. Now, even after being a twice-loser, he thinks he's entitled to be the Republican nominee for Senate District 19 yet again. And, with all that's at stake this year, it's crucial that freedom-loving citizens like you in SD-19 know just exactly how bad Lang Sias would be if he was elected as your State Senator. Click the image below to learn more.I can't stress enough how important the election this year is for the future of our gun rights in Colorado. We need candidates who will be true to the Constitution to get elected NOW if we are ever going to reverse the damage that has been done over the past two years of unchecked radical leftist rule. It's become quite clear that if Lang Sias is elected to be your State Senator, you will only be disappointed.*** Can you trust Lang Sias after knowing he supported and even contributed to radical anti-gun politicians like Mark Udall?*** Can you trust Lang Sias after knowing he was a registered Democrat as recently as 2006?*** Can you trust Lang Sias after knowing he only switched his party registration to "Republican" less than two years before he ran for Congress?*** Can you trust Lang Sias after knowing he cozied up to radical leftists like Tim Gill when he ran for the State Senate in 2012?*** Can you trust Lang Sias after knowing he didn't lift a finger to help the Recall Hudak campaign and even refused to sign the recall petition?*** Can you trust Lang Sias after knowing that he has TWICE refused to fill out the RMGO Candidate Survey and publicly state where he stands on the Second Amendment?*** And, do you really want someone who is a proven loser to be the party's standard-bearer in SD-19 for the November elections? If you care about your Constitutional rights at all, your answer should be a resounding NO!After Evie Hudak's historic recall, you and I have come too far and fought for too much to just throw all of that away by electing Lang Sias to represent Senate District 19.And, more importantly, I hope you will vote for Laura Woods in the June 24th Republican Primary.I hope you make the right decision. For Freedom,Dudley Brown
Executive DirectorP.S. Liberal "Republican" Lang Sias has a long list of sins that indicate he can't be trusted.Knowing Lang's betrayals, it would be a HUGE slap in the face to the hundreds of recall volunteers and the over 20,000 people who signed the recall petition if Lang Sias is elected to represent Senate District 19.To find out the truth about Lang Sias' record, make sure you click the image below.

Meaning no dis-respect to anyone, but Dudley Brown is a gaping a-hole. So what is the big deal if Lang Sias gave money over 12 years ago to Mark Udall? I've given a bit of money in the past to Udall. He's a mountaineer and I'm a mountaineer; it's a brotherhood and sisterhood. So what?
C.H.B.
That does seem to be the bipartisan consensus about Dudley Brown – he's a bully, but he bullies all political parties equally. He's a national power, as well, with the National Gun Rights Association, supporting US Congressional candidates and lobbying on legislation at the Federal level.
I don't know why people can't just say the truth about Dudley Brown, he beileves that a convicted murderer released from prison on parole should be able to go into a gun store and buy a gun, without a background check. Do we need to say more?
Let's take RMGO's reasoning to its "logical" conclusion. Where in the Second Amendment (as they, not I, read it), is there any limitation or qualification that firearm ownership is limited to non-convicted felons? Or mentally stable individuals? Nowhere.
Well, there was that well-regulated militia business, but the current Supremes dispensed with that.
I think the real question is, what happens to RMGO if their candidates don't win? This is supposed to be their year, right? If they can't win a Republican primary, they have no validity anywhere.
What happens is what always happens — very few ever win (see Shorty Brophy, Mike Kopp, etc.) — Dudley uses all those losses, the same as with their few wins, for more fundraising!!!
And, yet yellow-bellied politicians continue to believe he has some sway or credibilty. Once politicians quit taking him seriously, he'll fade away as a footnote to the past in Posse Comititus literature.
Calling Dudley a gaping a-hole is incredibly disrespectful . . .
. . . to all the gaping a-holes
You've never been a Republican I take it. Trust me, it matters.
And here I was hoping that LangSiasExposed was something like TerryMaketaExposed….
Gross
. . . it takes a pretty large magazine, 30-rounds or more, to get RMGOers excited!
After "two years of unchecked radical leftist rule," you'd think that Colorado would at least have a graduated income tax, well-funded public schools and universities, marriage equality, local control of drilling and fracking, and Dudley Brown and his RMGO posse in a concentration camp.
